This was always my go to place on the North Shore to get Peking duck. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed this time that although the quality of the duck was very good, the lettuce wraps that were served were from the center of the lettuce and could not be used to wrap anything. When I mentioned this to the waitress, she just said oh it’s very fresh and this is normal. I asked her could you show me how to wrap something with this lettuce and she just debated with me that this was how it is. Anyway, after the meal, I mentioned it to the manager who told me that maybe the good lettuce was sold out as lettuce wraps are popular. Nobody even thought to give me an apology for serving substandard unwrappable lettuce. I can understand lapses in quality and quantity, but not in attitude or service. They saved three bucks on lettuce, but they lost me as a customer. To add insult injury, I was surprised that I was charged for tea, the small portion of hoisin sauce, and also for the two takeout containers. I’ve been coming here for years and I’m disappointed by this change and will not be returning. The food quality is generally good, but I can no longer recommend this restaurant. My advice is if you want a good duck, go to either Sun Given or Osaka supermarkets and buy it yourself and prepare it at home. It’s a fraction of the price, the same quality and...

The traditional North American Chinese Food experience everyone knows and remembers. The extensive Dim Sum menu is what'll set these guys head and shoulders above everyone else doing similar stuff.

This place might be the best chinese food restaurant in all of north and west van. They've been around for many years and are easily accessible from the Westview exit of the #1 highway here in North Vancouver.

The menu is very large and robust. Their dim sum selections often land them very high on top 10 dim sum places in all of the GVRD. I cannot rant greatly enough about the Dim Sum menu here. Everything on the menu is made incredibly and you'll be back time and time again once you try it out.

This place is busy almost any time of the day they're open for a reason, the food is so good! Staff seem relatively attentive but could be more on the ball. There are plenty of kid-friendly options and lots of seating. The dining area has that classic Chinese restaurant feel you remember. The crowd is almost always very family orientated. The dining area is nicely lit and there even a few private rooms you can book for bigger gatherings.

If you live in North or West Van, definitely swing through here for a lunch time Dim Sum feast. It'll be...

Great to be back! Having been away from this restaurant for a few years, I’m happy to be back to find their dim sum is as good as ever! Especially, their shrimp dumplings are out standing and I also love their HK Style Fried Noodles! Service is always friendly and efficient! During COVID-19 their social distancing arrangement has been outstanding too! Please look at the photos and you will understand! Plenty of parking at the Mall, best to call ahead if it’s the weekend!

The review above is 4 yrs. old ... and it was a 4 start review ...

Unfortunately this Westview is not the same Westview I know from years ago … food quality and flavour has gone down hill ( Hot & Sour Soup was served lukewarm ) Siu Mai was tasteless and meat was dry! Chicken Chow Mien was too salty … my family used to frequent this restaurant before Covid even tho we drove all the way from Richmond … guess we will have to say good bye to this...

We had a very disappointing experience. The older lady who served us was extremely rude, which was already surprising but what shocked us more was that the manager at the front wasn’t any more friendly or accommodating. They charged us extra for sauce and a to-go box without informing us, which felt sneaky and dishonest. The portion of sauce that came with the meal was tiny to begin with, and then we were charged for more without any notice. That’s not acceptable. We also received a lettuce wrap that was basically unusable. The lettuce was the end piece, starting to go red, and definitely not fresh. When we politely brought it up, the server brushed it off with an excuse and made no effort to help. The overall service felt cold and careless. It really felt like they didn’t care about their customers at all. We won’t be coming back. They’ve lost their business by treating people this way and being dishonest with charges.
