Edo Japan — Restaurant in Northern Mature Area

I approached this fast food place with good intentions as I knew what I wanted for a meal to eat as I was hungry, however the Asian/filipino lady was straight up (“ Rude”)…… She asked me what I wanted and I said: A shrimp rice bowl with no sauces or mushrooms and she kept arguing the fact of it, as if I did a crime and then she’s like you want a gluten free meal then, I repeat myself by saying; No sauces or mushrooms and then she’s like ya gluten free meal but, before she mentioned the gluten free meal, she’s like you don’t want Teriyaki sauce but, would you prefer soy sauce instead and I said once again; no sauces or mushrooms.

I don’t understand why it seemed to be a big deal to her and the rest of those employees for me not to have no mushrooms or sauces for some reason, which is so uncalled for because I am the customer who’s buying this food and is going to eat it, Not them! So for her to be pass aggressive towards me and argue with on how I want my food to be is so unprofessional and insane.

The cook dude was still trying to added mushrooms and sauces when I literally said; no mushrooms or sauces to the rude ass lady, so why am I still trying to be survived something I don’t want when I already informed them?

This place is inconsiderate and obviously has no respect for customers clearly…...

My daughter and I love Edo and eat at the Bonnie Doon location regularly. The londonderry mall location is not up to the same standard. The service was friendly enough, but nothing exceptional. The flavours of the food were good, but the cook was slightly uneven, and the veggies in my chop chop were huge! The dice was around 4 times the size of what they serve at other locations.

I had a couple of small issues with my order. I asked for a glass of water, and when I got my food I realised that I had not recieved it and had to ask again. I was supposed to receive free brownies with my order, which I discussed with the cashier and they were on my bill. I didn't remember until after I left the mall that I never got them. I am sure if I had noticed they would have fixed the issue, but it would be nice if they took better care to include all the items in an order the first time.

Overall the food and service were good, but not at the level I am used...

Normally I have great service at all locations but this time the cashier was to distracted charging her phone than listening to me and taking my order correctly. Teriyaki chicken with brown rice extra veggies and 2 scoops. When I noticed on the screen it went correct she became upset at me. Told me she offered it in the side in addition to the white rice already in the container. ???? Thanks but if I wanted white rice I would have ordered white rice. Instead of apologizing for your mistake you yelled at me and gave me dirty looks as you corrected my order. Thankfully there are other locations. Poor customer service but...
