Changing from 5 to 1 star. I visited this place again with my family on Sunday night for dinner and I'm very disappointed with the experience this time. To begin with, there was no one at the entrance greeting customers. Once we came in we had to wait few minutes until someone came and took us to a table and provided the menu's. Short time after our waitress came, introduced herself and took the order for the drinks, which came relatively quick. At that point we order the appetizer (nachos with guacamole and chicken) as well as the main courses. After more than 30 minutes we had not received the nachos and we did not see any more our waitress, so we asked a lady that seemed to be the manager or supervisor. She mentioned that the waitress was preparing them and shortly would be at the table. Later on she came with the nachos and told us that they were out of guacamole and that was the reason for the delay. She also mentioned that the main plates were ready and asked if we wanted everything altogether at once, and we said no. There was no enough room in the table to have all at the same time. She said that they will keep the plates in the warmer until we are ready for them. Once we were done with the nachos, had to wait long time again to see our waitress. Unfortunately a glass of soda flipped on our table and we used the napkins to clean as quickly as possible. We asked another waitress to help us clean the table and bring us more napkins. She brought a roll of paper and quickly dried the table, but we didn't get napkins, so I had to take the cutlery from a table beside ours to take the napkins. Our plates finally came in but the steaks were overcooked. When mentioned about it to our waitress she mentioned that it was because of the time in the warmer while we were eating out appetizer and apologized for it. Later she came to see if we wanted ketchup for the fries and at that time she offered to replace the steaks. Only my wife accepted the replacement. My sons and I were not wishing to wait much longer for the food and eated the overcooked steaks. The lady who seemed to be the manager came and apologized and offered to reduce the price of my wife's steak charging only the price of a 7 Oz instead of 12 Oz. The bill included the guacamole for the nachos, so I had to ask that to be removed as we did not get it. Also the offered discount was not applied and had to ask for it. The bill had to be corrected twice. I general the experience was very negative. I will not come back to to this place.
First review : Good service and food. The price is incredible low for the...
Read moreCame here for a visit on August 3rd. Came in with a party of 15 of us.
When we arrived, we were waiting at the host stand for almost 10 minutes without being acknowledged in an empty restaurant. After being acknowledged and sat down, the host/server did not bring any menus so we were sat there for another 15 minutes without menus. So a total of 25 minutes in the restaurant and still not even being served. Our server who was the bartender, came over to ask us for drinks. Drinks?? We didn’t even know what they had. He didn’t even notice we didn’t have any menus on the table. We had to ASK for the menu. Once our server got our food and drinks, we thought it’d be smooth sailing from there. Apps came in relatively quickly and they were delicious.
By the time our mains came, oh boy. Biggest issue yet. 5 people on one end of the table got their mains, on the other side of the table, nothing. Completely nothing. By the time the 5 people ate the food first (because we were hungry) the other guys didn’t even receive their food yet. At least another 5-10 minutes have passed and they’ve finally received their food. And guess what, they’re cold! How??? I need an explanation for this. Either your servers are not helping your weeded bartender, your supervisor isn’t even doing anything. Just standing behind the bar dilly dallying.
During service we had to ask pop refills multiple times to the point where we had to start going up to the bar to ASK the supervisor dilly dallying behind the bar for refills.
I’ve never seen such a dysfunctional restaurant before. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy. The fact that your bartender was in the weeds with one party and a couple people on the wood tells me he needs more training. Your supervisor isn’t ready to be your supervisor. Your servers definitely need to start helping out more.
At the end of the day, i’d stay away from this restaurant. I didn’t want to leave this review however my visit was almost 1.5 months ago and to this day it...
Read moreI have no problem with the food or service here. BEWARE of the parking lot situation I just ran into. Our group of 8 came here for drinks and apps between 9:30-11:30pm on a Friday evening. When we left and got to the parking lot I noticed a wheel lock boot on one of my wheels and a sticker on my car saying I’m illegally parked and to call ‘X’ number. To give more context, I’m in the middle of the parking lot at the back, with my car surrounded by 7 or 8 other cars around me with no boots on their cars, including all of our friends. A man drives up in front of my car, partially blocking it, and asks if it was my car. We begin to call the non-emergency line for someone to come as there are NO signs in the parking lot or at the restaurant saying we can’t park there. He tries explaining to me he’s the “manager for the landlord who owns the lot” and that he boots cars who are illegally parked. After telling him im in the middle of the parking lot, surrounded by cars around me and we start to tell the police to come he rushed over to his car to get the keys and take the boot off of my car. We left very uncomfortable with the situation. There are other lots in the Oakville/burlington area owned by people, however the lots are covered with signs, cameras, etc stating they are being watched and cannot park. This lot has none of that and is 100% a scam. Beware If you’re going to this location. When I called the restaurant the guy said they boot cares who don’t go to A&W or chucks, but they would have had no idea we were there which made no sense either. Not sure I’ll be coming back here after that response from the employee at chucks. Brutal. Maybe tell your guests that’s a “possibility” if the staff knows this is happening. Who would ever want to come here if there’s a possibility of having that type of experience just to park at...
