Despite all the good reviews, my experience with Palma Brava was disappointing. I spent nearly two thousand dollars to purchase a marble dining table from the store. When I made the purchase and received the table, I asked Susan and the delivery man if the marble was sealed. They asserted that the marble was indeed sealed, as it should be for a 2k table. I trusted their words. However, when my partner accidentally spilled water on the table, we immediately noticed that the table was not properly sealed at all. The table sucked in water like a sponge. I contacted Susan to find a solution, and she insisted that the table was sealed, ignoring the facts and photos. She suggested I purchase a sealant myself and apply it, which completely contradicts the claim that the table was sealed. She also said that I couldn't return the table despite it not being what I thought I purchased. Luckily, we only spilled water when we noticed the problem. After I bought a sealant and sealed the table, it's beautiful and usable. If our first spill were something less benign, like soda or coffee, we would've been stuck with a permanently stained table. The table itself is beautiful, but this experience was terrible. They were either blatantly lying to my face or simply didn't know what they were selling. I would not purchase from them again. RE seller response: perhaps if your supplier claims the table is sealed when it’s clearly not, you should verify their claim rather than tell your customers to seal the table themselves. Explain how a twenty dollar store bought sealant I applied immediately sealed the marble that was previously sucking water in, if it was truly sealed in the first place?
