A&W Canada — Restaurant in Oliver

The food is always good—I have no complaints there. But the coffee this morning… that’s another story.

I ordered two iced vanilla lattes, and the girl who served me handed me two drinks. One looked like a proper latte. The other? It looked like a plain cup of milk.

I asked her, “Is this an iced vanilla latte?” With the straightest face and full confidence, she replied, “Yes, that’s the vanilla latte.”

People—please tell me: how does this look like a vanilla latte?! One was a creamy light-brown color with visible espresso. The other was just white. Literally a cup of milk.

I was so flabbergasted by her response that I just left. But when I got home and tasted it—guess what? IT WAS JUST MILK. LADY, THAT’S NOT A LATTE. WHAT THE HELL?!

If a mistake was made or the machine was down, just tell me and offer a refund. It’s that simple. Don’t try and pass off the drink as something it isn’t. I’m not stupid—I’ve had plenty of lattes in my life. I know what they’re supposed to look and taste like. She probably knew I wasn’t gonna argue with her or anything that’s why she took advantage of me in the moment but that’s just my opinion. Won’t go back there again for drinks that is for sure.

Went in around 7:30pm to get some food after a long day, the front staff were both very rude and unwelcoming. Watched 3 people come in from the drive thru because of missing items. One of the female staff were talking to their friend the entire time I was waiting (20mins). Seemed as if they didn’t want to help anyone and we were all inconveniencing them. I Felt bad for asking for a drink aswell once my food arrived and the worker said absolutely nothing at all to me she just handed me the pin pad and turned around then served 2 people and talked to a co-worker before giving me my cup. My buddy burger had tiny little hard balls in it, seemed like plastic. Eat at a local restaurant avoid...

First customer of the day, no one’s behind me,put my order for a full breakfast, get to the window paid and I’m asked to pull ahead so they don’t mess up their time..🤔Really?!no one behind me I said I rather stay here in the shade since no one’s inline, she get rowdy and insisted that I pull forward so I don’t mess with their “time score”well that was my last time visiting any A&W,,, so many time before we had to go back to have order fixed, service is like pouring molasses in middle of winter… I usually let someone else deal with them issues but this time I’m alone...
