What an absolute incredible experience! My son has always wanted to try a place like this, my partner and I as well. It was my sons 18th so as a surprise we googled a hotpot place for London ON and came across jinli hotpot. When we went it wasn’t very busy at all , the place was clean and the setup was appealing and inviting. We sat down and were greeted by our waitress. Once we explained it was our first time she told us what she would recommend including the meal for 2 and said it was enough for 3. She also explained the different levels of spiciness to us. Once we choose our food based off the meal for two she explained how we could go up and get our sauces and bring them back. Told us there were also tips on the wall on how to prepare our food once it’s served. We came back to our table and momentarily our food was brought back. The food was delicious, the mild spicy broth was really good, our absuloute favourite was the veggie broth base. We struggled to use our chopsticks as we were not used to using them. I’m presuming the owner told us about the spoons , ladles etc that could be used at the table and than even brought us forks once she realized how much we were struggling lol. We felt bad because we forgot to order noodles but they eagerly brought us some. She chatted with us while we ate and we learned a-lot about the difference between our country and theirs. Really enjoyed the experience of talking with her and learning about her culture . During our conversation she found out we were celebrating my son’s 18th so she brought back a sauce for my son to try she thought he might enjoy. It was a traditional sauce she made at the sauce station and boy was she right it was delicious. My son wanted to take the shrimp home so he asked if they had to go containers. Not only did they bring a container for the shrimp, also containers for the broths and the sauce my son loved. Once we left she took the noodles off our bill and said it was from her in celebration of my son’s 18th. In her country she said it meant long lasting happiness and I believe a long life. Overall we had one of the best experiences at jinli hotpot. Words can’t even describe how much we enjoyed ourselves , from the freshness of the food , the atmosphere , to the company from the owner. We will definitely...

As you sit down you can ask for a handheld menu, or you can access their menu digitally with a QR code. Their menu is made up of about 8 hot pots. The meals are set up so that your one and only hot pot will fill you. If you’re still hungry after your hot pot, you can just order more ingredients to put in it.
Your hot pot will be the foundation. Once you choose a hot pot, you get to pick more ingredients to put in it. My server told me her favourite hot pot. This turns out to be a famous hot pot, which is known worldwide. It is numb and spicy with many chilis. She said plum juice goes well with this particular hot pot, so I got that, too. My main add on was the $60 Wagyu. As I began eating, a server introduced me to the sauces station. They allow you to create your own, unique sauce. After you boil your food, you’re meant to dip it in your sauce. The one I created had minced garlic, sesame sauce, soya sauce, oyster sauce, and chili oil.
They were sold out of all desserts except rice cakes. I took a set of those. They were golden brown and had a brown powder. Several came on a plate. Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.
My total came to a whopping $123!
This restaurant is run differently than typical North American ones. Here, I cooked my food on my own stove. I was given almost no privacy from other parties of people, because I sat in the center which was an open space. And I used Asian cutlery.
Jinli is most likely London’s finest hot pot house. The customization lets you eat exactly what and how you want. I’m already dreaming of...
Read moreJust went the other night with my mom to celebrate her birthday! We are Chinese and haven't found anything truly authentic at all here in London until we went here with authentic Sichuan flavor!
We ordered a ton a food including the roulette set which was nice as you didn't have to individually chose what meats as well as some other dishes. The quality was good and were large portions including lots of seafood like shrimp, mussels, and squid. The waitress even told us that they imported many of the ingredients from China to give it the flavor. Not only that but they offered free refills on side dishes and sauces but since we came closer to the night most of them were gone.
Service was good and the staff were friendly even though it was near closing time. Since it was our birthday they offered us 伊面 and let us take home everything including the broths. A bit on the pricer side as we ordered enough for 4 people but it was definitely worth it for the...
