Pucci Brothers Fresh Italian — Restaurant in Ontario

My partner and I tried Pucci Brothers out for the first time in October 2022 and were immediately impressed by the food and atmosphere here. Over the past few months we have come back countless times and can say with confidence that the wonderful team here consistently uses quality ingredients to make delicious food. You can tell they truly care about each and every dish they serve — we truly could not recommend this place enough! 💕

We have tried their pastas, sandwiches, salads, and bocca bowls. Their pasta is cooked to perfection for us, as we enjoy our pasta al dente. The amount of seasoning is always just right; you can tell they focus on the small details in crafting the perfect meal! My favourite pasta is a simple one - I have been eating spaghetti and meatballs with marinara sauce for as long as I can remember, but Pucci Brothers just does it the best. I once came by twice in one day just because I couldn’t get enough!

We have never had sandwiches as good (or as a big!) as the ones at Pucci Brothers. The roasted chicken cacciatore is our favourite: it’s filled to the rim with juicy meat, creamy yet light aioli, and fresh greens that come together to create the perfect bite every time. The size of the sandwich is an additional plus - it’s a great deal for how big it is!

The roasted chicken cacciatore bocca bowl with garlic aioli dressing is just heavenly; it was our first time trying an Italian rice bowl and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction to the dish. The aioli was so creamy but not too heavy, and created the perfect complement to the roasted veggies and tomato basil rice.

The only unfortunate aspect of our experience at Pucci Brothers was that we only discovered this gem during our last year living in London. But we are already planning a trip back, just to have another meal here! It’s truly that good. The pizza itself is delicious! Do I recommend the pizza? Yes. Is it unique? Oh yes.

No doubt the food is wonderful. Good sauce and cheese, nice classic style crust.

However, one big thing to note and I hope management considers this..from my personal experience, they seem to prioritize take-out orders over sit-down orders. The reason why I suspect so is because when we came to visit, it was just us and two other families who were already sitting down eating food. We placed our orders and sat down. The pizza oven looked empty and was rotating as though it could bake more than one of those small pizza’s at a time quickly. And indeed, new pizza’s kept coming in and hitting the two tables that were already eating. 40 minutes in and we noticed that everyone who came in for take out was getting their pizza quick and they left (about 7 people) and we were sitting just waiting at the table waiting. Then finally we got ours and they were amazing! If only they did a “first order, first serve model” because we all pay the same price at the end of the day and if we came first, we’re hungry too and we naturally would expect to get served first.

Good points: Love the décor, very crisp and clean looking. The service area is really nicely organized and I just LOVE the oven! The concept seems quite refreshing so looks different from every other "chainish" pizza places. The lady who served us was a treat, very welcoming and personable. Sometimes it feels like employees are a bit too much on a script - not so here.

Not so good points: If you have "Fresh" in your restaurant name, it really should be. I get that things have to be prepped ahead of time, but there was a bit of chicken that was dark/dry in my pasta. If it had been overcooked the rest of the chicken would have been and wasn't. The peppers and onions in my food were either overcooked, or from frozen. Overall it was passably decent.

Another thing is if you don't believe in wearing gloves, then you have to wash your hands FREQUENTLY. The napkin my cutlery was wrapped in had makeup transfer on it where it was twisted and crumbs (spices?) inside. My fork handle was dirty - to the point that I could feel it - from whoever unloaded your dishwasher.
