A&W Canada — Restaurant in Ontario

I am a 75 year old woman who has gone into this location for a long time and frequently. In warm weather I sit on the patio and in colder weather I sit inside. The restaurant is very clean. The staff wash the floor diligently every day. I also see them washing their own hands frequently. They have always been very courteous and obliging to me as I take my tea a certain way. I get a lettuce mozza burger as they no longer have multi-grain rolls. I sometimes get pies and fries, onion rings or sweet potato fries. The staff are mainly east Indian and are very pleasant to talk with and work hard. I regard it as my library as I read endlessly there and one staff member calls me 'the professor'. They have handled the pandemic well. Sometimes there is on toilet paper in the ladies' washroom. This is an entirely new day. I go in there several times a week. Today I ordered a mozza burger wrap with lettuce but without the bun. They always give me a plate and cutlery. Today the woman informed me that I couldn't have a plate after 11 o'clock. I wasn't very happy. The two women in there were very loud and the atmosphere is toxic now. Two young high school boys were sitting in there with pizza and pop from another restaurant and they were bellowed at to leave. I know that you aren't suppose to eat food from other places, but the place was empty except for me. They cater to drive thru and take out more than their restaurant customers. The young men and women from India are always so quiet, friendly and obliging. It use to be a nice neighbourhood place to eat by today's experience wasn't great....

Waited nearly 25 mins for two all Canadian breakfasts for me and a friend. I didn't mind the wait until I watched people come in after me and get their food before me. (I took into consideration online orders, and just kept waiting). After I watched 2 more drive threw orders get made and handed out, one of which was a all Canadian breakfast like what i ordered about 10 mins prior to him ordering. This whole time the young lady at the front kept apologizing for the wait. I did not become irritated until, I watched the cook get started on my order which was now 20 mins later after I made my order. The lady who kept apologizing could tell my patience was wearing thin. She gave me my money back for my order (which I was still waiting for) without me even asking for it. That was the only thing that made things right! Needless to say after waiting 4 times as long as I should for something that should have taken 5-10 mins maximum. I scarfed my food down and made my 8:31am Tee Off time at Echo Valley. This was why we came to your A&W (FAST FOOD) restaurant for bacon and eggs in the first place. To eat and run. If you think I'm exaggerating my wait time for the sakes of this review? Maybe you should review your cameras and see how professional the young lady at cash handled the situation. She is truly a keeper and good employee. As for the cook he looked like he...

What a shower of poop this location is. Ordered two Chubby Chicken burger combos. First there was 7 people waiting to collect their takeaway orders. It took a painful 20 minutes before we had our order. One mistake after the other. It was a normal order except one fries order was a "No salt" order and the two meals to be in separate bags. First apart from the wait time the order came in the same bag so I asked again for it to be in two bags and to indicate which order came without salt. The staff member didn't know so which was the correct order without salt so I again asked for a fries without salt. Several members of staff came around to the hot oven keeper to see if they could find the salt-less fries. After a few moments of scratching their head the must have decided to cook more fries.After another 10 minute wait I gave up and offered to take fries and have my $$$ for the fries and we'd do without. He then refunded my money and then I had to pay again because he'd refunded all of the $$$ instead of simply refunding the fries $$$. Team work is everything in a work place like this and they couldn't be further from being a team than anything. I never will repeat this experience again. For those thinking salt-less isn't a big deal but in my situation it's life...
