Very disappointed in the Caledonia, Ontario location! I just went through drive thru (November 17th, 2018 at 8:15pm) and ordered a Beyond Meat Burger - they handed me my burger a couple minutes later and when I opened the bag it was in the beef patty packaging. Thinking maybe they misheard me on the intercom, I went back through the drive thru to switch the beef burger for the beyond meat burger and explained it was in the wrong packing, to which the response the employee gave me was “oh, sometime he puts the beyond meat burger in the beef wrapper”. For obvious reasons this is an unacceptable excuse, so I asked for another beyond meat burger. Within seconds, he hands me a burger in the beyond meat packaging - seeing how quickly the turn around time for this burger was, I was sure that he put the exact same first beef burger in the beyond meat packaging. So I opened up the burger and instantly I could smell and see that it was still a BEEF burger and not the plant based burger. I have eaten enough beyond meat burgers now to be able to tell the difference. So just to confirm, I had my sister taste the burger (she’s eaten both the beef and beyond meat burgers recently) and she instantly could tell by the texture alone that it was in fact BEEF and not plant based. The beyond meat burger is slightly mushier on the inside, the patty has smooth edges, and it does not smell like pure beef... it has a very different smell to it.

I was very upset at this point, so I physically went inside the restaurant and explained the situation to which the response from the same male employee at the drive thru window told me “if it sits for a while, the texture and look of it changes” and then the female employee working the counter also said “we made that burger fifteen minutes ago, so because it was sitting for a while it looks different”. First of all, if I am paying $15 for a meal, I should not be given a 15 minute old burger. Secondly, every single time I have ever gotten a beyond meat burger I have had to wait 9 minutes for it to cook - it’s not like it is sold as often as the beef, which is why they have to cook it from fresh, which is why it takes longer to prepare. They never have the veggie/beyond meat patties waiting on standby. So considering I only waited a couple minutes for the first burger and seconds for the second burger, I knew right away something was wrong. Thirdly, the smell and texture of a beyond meat burger does not change after 15 minutes - I have taken these burgers home before and couldn’t eat right away, and nothing about the taste, texture and smell of the burger was ever different... only the temperature.

Clearly they are either trying to pull a fast one on vegans/vegetarians or they are too lazy and cheap to cook a fresh beyond meat burger for 9 minutes. I am beyond dissatisfied with this location and couldn’t be more turned off and upset by this. There are people who don’t eat beef because they have protein allergies, people who don’t eat meat because of religious reasons, and people who don’t eat meat because of their values. I can understand if a genuine mistake was made the first time, but this was three different staff members deliberately trying to trick a vegetarian customer into eating beef. This is disgusting behavior and they are looking to be sued. I would give negative stars on this...

I have never, EVER received such AWFUL service like I did tonight, at this location (Caledonia). I have also never left a bad review for anyone on Google … but it was honestly SO disturbing I feel like I need to, unfortunately. A simple onion ring for fry swap, should have been easy (especially because I PAID MORE FOR THE ONION RINGS … and wanted the cheaper fries). The manager argued with me about the simple switch. Then he didn’t even give them to me on the tray with the other food I ordered. When I went back to tell them I didn’t receive the fries, they acted like they didn’t believe me (which I offered for them to come look at my tray at the table). When I finally got them, I went to put the A&W spice on them and the lid fell off and the whole bottle of spice fell onto the fries (making them inedible) … forcing me to take them back to the counter and now ask for a replacement. From there, the woman (who I believe was also a manager) rolled her eyes at me before getting me the replacement. The management at this location are exceptionally rude, unprofessional and clearly don’t value customer service!!! I will NEVER return to this location again, and encourage the franchise head to seriously review this location if they value their restaurants. What a massive disservice they are doing to the...

I visited this location a couple weeks ago when I was in 6 nations for a small event. And let me tell you this is by far I think the best fast food I've ever been served. now I've always enjoyed a&w burgers but would normally buy two teen burgers or double buddy burgers as the patties were so thin and everything was kinda smushed.

But for some reason when I ordered my teen burger combo, I was blown away by the presentation. nothing fancy of course as its only fast food, but the burger looked just like how it is in commercials! the patty was thick, juicy and flavourful, the tomato slices and lettuce were crisp and fresh, and the buns were toasted perfectly and not squashed.

never had I been to a fast food joint that had food that actually looked like the pictures!! I should have taken a pic because you had to see it to belive it. I walked away satisfied and with a full belly.

the staff were also very helpful and kind 😊 11/10 service i definitely recommend you stop here for a quick bite! I meant to write this review the second I finished eating but I've been so busy since then I totally forgot. but the food had left such a imprint on me I just had to come...
