Pros: Great beer!!!!!!!! I legit don’t think I’ve had a bad beer – and I’ve tried many beers by this company. On top of that, a great price for the beer.
Cons: This place has some of the worst service I’ve ever experienced. This is coming from someone who’s put many years into working in hospitality at many restaurants. Receiving poor service once in a blue moon is perfectly normal; maybe you’re having a bad day, understaffed, etc. But, I can’t stress it enough how much it irks me to receive poor service on the regular. This place will be well staffed with low customer volume and I have found myself waiting over 20 minutes to be received by staff. Even if you make legitimate eye contact with a staff member to get their attention – you will not be greeted. You could sit there with an empty beer glass for quite a while before you find yourself getting another any time soon. My most recent visit had to be the worst yet – and the reason why I will not be bothered to go there again. My friends and I (a group of 3) ordered beer and food with a kind server. The food took a while to get to us, but only 2 of were served with the server telling us “next plate is coming right up”. I waited almost half an hour watching my friends finish their food before I gave up and walked up to speak to an employee. I mentioned that my food had not come and the server at the bar confirmed that my order was entered, but a mistake was made. I got no apology, no refund, no voucher – no form of valuable customer service to make up for the mistake. They offered to make the food for me still, but I told them not to bother, as my friends had already finished their food and we’re just going to leave.
My suggestion for you if you’re going to sit down at this place: order at the bar and don’t bother with their servers, as you could do a better job...
Read moreI have been a strong supporter of Anderson Craft Ales since they opened. The beer is amazing, the atmosphere is great, I enjoy unwinding and generally have great conversations with the staff. Until tonight. It may be because it was a busy Friday night, but I was at the counter for a solid hour, enjoyed my first beer then waited at least 20 minutes trying to get some sort of eye contact to ask for another beer. Once I've decided that I'd just settle my tab and grab a couple of bottles I was asked if I wanted another beer. So I simply said that 20 minutes ago I would have and before I could say I'd like to settle my tab she yelled that I should've got in line. Then I asked finally to settle my tab and again she said I had to get in line. So I did. Only to find out that she told my friends that she said that I should've asked her earlier for a beer instead of being rude and that she wouldn't serve me another beer now, even if I asked for one. Somehow by me simply stating that 20 minutes earlier I would've had a beer was somehow rude. However, if I had interrupted her to ask for a beer there would've been a problem with that as well anyway. I just settle my tab and headed home. This was truly the worst service I have ever had since their opening. I'll definitely be back because the beer is awesome and its owners are great. I can't let this one person spoil a good thing. This was the only way I could actually unwind and voice my dissatisfaction. Hopefully next time she will be...
Read moreThe beer is really good. Unfortunately the service really bothered me today because I got the very distinct feeling we weren’t important at all to them.
Today we showed up in the early afternoon to have a drink and possibly a snack out on the patio. After standing there for about 5 minutes with no understanding of who was seating customers, we flagged down an employee and asked her if we could sit down. She politely said she’d ask the taproom, however we stood there for about 10 more minutes and she just never came back.
After being seated by another employee we waited for 10-15 minutes at the table and no one bothered to come see us. Servers walked by us without even looking in our direction (we were seated right at the front) and it became clear to me that you needed to personally know someone in order to be served. This was obvious when a guy who showed up 25 minutes after us, who clearly knew the employee at the entrance, was seated almost immediately and was brought a beer immediately after that while we sat there watching.
Anyways, since our business wasn’t valued, we left and went to Power House brewery down the road. We had a great time there and great service and we never would have even gone if it wasn’t for our...
