Update Saturday, July 24th 2021.
Was super excited to be finally able to visit Archies for breakfast. However, it was one of those days 🙄...ordered the hungry man cause why wouldn't you and my partner ordered an original skillet with sausage and NO mushrooms.
Needles to say you can imagine what happened but here let me give it to you in point form.
Coffee cups had pink sparkle lipstick on them Skillet came with mushrooms They did offer to put the hungry man under the heat lamp while remaking the skillet. 2nd skillet came with bacon not sauage They offered to make sausage on the side and my partner accepted the offer out of pitty but they do not like bacon. Told my partner you don't have to eat something you don't like and advised to have them remake the meal. Hungry man started getting cold and my pancakes were now sponges of syrup....some may like this I however do not! Finally got the skillet right, but my syrup sponges were so drenched it made my stomach upset and unable to eat my meal. I am pretty sure that they noticed me typing this review and they came over and tried to make it right with a piece of pie. NOT a very good alternative after having already been put of by the syrup sponge pancakes. So we packaged up my breakfast took the offer of a piece of pie and my partner enjoyed their finally made right skillet while I typed this review. Got brought a bill, Stephanie the manager told me I still had to pay because we ate some of the meal and were taking it home. Handed Stephanie the bill and left the food at the tables including the pie offered to try and make up for the experience.
Let me say this..... at reduced capacity due to COVID service should get better not worse, I have better service here during a crazy full dinning room with only two servers working than I did today.
I have reduced my star rating to 1 star because of this experience. Stephanie you have made me not want to ever come back here!
🤔 Wish I had an image of the lipstick on my coffee cup.
Generally great service but there is the odd one off experience. Food portions are a good size and the fish and chips are excellent $$$. Decor is very coastal with lots of memorabilia...
Read moreOur server Lana was very rude, continuously giving us dirty looks. I mentioned we were ready to order and she snarkily said "I have tables ahead of you." Then walked away which I thought was extremely ignorant while we were having our mean (which we split) because my husband forgot his debit at home, wo we only had cash, I digress we heard Lana and a couple other employees basically making jokes at our expense. After we had finished out meal, Lana was awkwardly positioning herself Infront of our table then we paid our bill even tipped her and when we went to leave the door to the restaurant was locked and we couldn't get out so basically they were insinuating that's we were going to run solely based apon our looks, when the other waitress came to unlock the door she said " oh that must have been another customer whothst indu locked the door yet both Lana and the other waitress's behaviours were absolutely disgusting, and we will not be returning based solely on their actions and how they treated us. All based on looks because we have tattoos and what not. I'm uterrly disappointed in Archie's for hiring and allowing...
Read moreOkay folks, I LOVE Love love the Ladies who work at Archie's on Wellington! Best people ever. Archie's as a whole may or may not be as amazing as these women, but they had the good sense to hire them, so that's something. These Girls will take good care of you, feed you up proper, and treat you like a queen (or king, if that's your preference). In fact, if you go in more than twice they will likely know your name, and if they find out when your birthday is they'll use that information against you too. :D
Also, the food is really really good. The portions are bigger than I expected, so don't make the mistake of ordering a two piece Fish and Chips unless you're just wanting to have too much to eat. The Grilled Trout was super-yummy, and be sure to leave room to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding; toffee pudding with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream and yummy butterscotch sauce all over it ... I'd marry it if it would stilll let me see other desserts.
Anyway, if you're in London, Ontario, they're just a few blocks off of the 401, so...
