My friend and I are lunch time regulars at this Armando’s, and always order the same thing. We share the house salad and the lunch sized California chicken pizza. Over the past two years, the service has gotten worse and worse until today when we had an awful experience, i don’t think we will ever go back. My friend gets there before I do to order, since she had more time for lunch than I do, we always work it out this way. We waited for 30 minutes for our pizza came out of the oven, even though we told the waitress we were in a hurry. We then proceeded to watch her bring our pizza to another table (who I assume ordered the same thing) but they had come in about 15 minutes after us. The waitress then avoided us, would not look at us, and brought us an undercooked pizza 15 minutes later (for a total of 45 minutes waited for this pizza...). -at this point I was going to be late for work, but we hadn’t settled the bill yet. The bill comes and it’s almost double what it usually is. The waitress had charged us for a regular pizza instead of the lunch pizza (which is okay, people make mistakes all the time- it’s what came next I couldn’t believe!) we told her about the error and expected to have it corrected. She then proceeded to show us the price in the menu, then admit she made a mistake. She offered us $5 off our bill. After arguing with the waitress over this, she finally said she would correct it to what we ordered- but then wouldn’t let us take home the leftovers! I could not believe it. If work wasn’t stressful enough today, I also got to deal with a miserable lunch. -for those of you who are wondering though yes the pizza I got to eat...
Read moreI almost want to select Poor - Fair because I really expected high quality considering the Windsor Star vote done online made this restaurant the most popular one. I will probably not order from there again. I picked up my order, and when I arrived I had to wait 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged me there. Mind you the place seemed pretty dead, so maybe the staff was in the back... either way I don't care. 10 minutes of MY time wasted. The food was OK. I ordered 2 pizzas 1 large, and 1 small. The large pizza was lightly burned; not too bad but enough for me to notice. The toppings were good, and I actually think they used real garlic, but they used canned mushrooms (which I despise). I don't know the quality of the rest of the ingredients, but that alone makes me not want to order from them again. The other small pizza was plain: cheese and pepperoni, and the kids said that it was "the best pizza in the world". Mind you they are 3&4 years old. Anyways... highly disappointed with a pizza that nearly 1400 people (or 23% of the votes) said that it was 'best pizza in town'. I usually order from Koolini or Francos, as their pizza usually does not disappoint me, and I usually stick to what I know, but I wanted something different that night. Read moreMultiple times I have ordered Armando's for large parties. July 1st will be the last time I order. They made a mistake on the order, and they offered to send out what they missed but by then it would be too late my 40 guests would have already eaten. So I requested a refund for $12 and they said they would only give me a credit towards my next order. After a few minutes they finally agreed to send a driver out to give me my refund. I waited a few hours until I finally called, I guess they saw my number and instead of answering the phone like they usually do I got a "yes"... this took me by surprise because I was clearly expecting someone to answer Armando's can I help you. So I said hello is this Armando's to which the person on the other line said yes you called. I was so surprised that you could actually order 450 dollars worth of food. And be treated like you are a nuisance when they made the mistake in the first place. I was told I was only going to get a credit so I ordered something to have it delivered that night so I could be done with them. I can't even tell you how many times I've ordered large orders like this. So very disheartened with them. Like I said this would be my last order. Which is unfortunate because I do like the food. If I could give them zero stars for customer...
