Some shady 1* reviews by people with only 1 review here, so let's start there:
Everyone was wearing a mask. I watched the woman up front wash her hands everytime she left the cash. The place was super clean; even under the meat spits. Hygiene is not a problem. And you're going to rate this place based on delivery... Consider that it's probably the delivery company.
They were also polite. They weren't pretending to be your favourite family members, but they were pleasant. Let people be people... Particularly when they have a great product. I got an apology when my food was "slow"... Know why it was slow? They were making it fresh. Want fast? McD's and stale food are right there.
Also to the person 1*ing about the Falafel plate and French fries... It's literally on the sign. It's not on the sign because it's fun to say no to people about fries.
They don't have "garlic sauce"? Well it looked and tasted like Toum to me... Not mayo mixed with yogurt and garlic powder.
Food: Really good. As all reviews will tell you their fresh bread is amazing. I get why people are upset if they can't get it... It's that good. Meat was well seasoned. Veggies were great... Looked like the pickled turnip might be house made, or is at least miles ahead of every other shawarma place in the city.
French fries were just fries. Not rave or rant. Was happy to see Falafel being made fresh to order... Rare to see that these days.
Not the best shawarma ever, but I can't imagine anyone being anything but happy/satisifed... Unless they're just trying to whine for free food. I'll...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place. I mostly cook at home, and do not go out for food often, maybe once per month on average if that, lunches included. However, ever since discovering this place about a year ago with their homemade samoon bread that they cleverly cut open like a pocket and stuff with shawarma goodies, i cant help but find myself going out for lunches once per week on average (a 4-fold increase in frequency for me). No other shawarma place compares to me in terms of shawarma taste and quality, so naturally they are the only place i go out for food to. Their samoon is chewy and fresh, irresistible bread, that is a fantastic pocket for the shawarma. In fact i cant stand regular pita bread around my shawarma anymore it all seems stale compared to the chewy risen Babylon's samoon. They also have a great assortment of fresh veggies to choose from and not just pickles like most places (tomato, onion, parsley, lettuce, and a bunch of others). The only word of criticism from me is their garlic sauce can use a bunch more raw garlic to give a generous kick, but i understand and respect that not all people want to spice up on garlic at lunch - but then they should have 2 garlic sauces: the regular, and the spicy! I'm hopeful to motivate them to add that...
Read moreSubject: Urgent Complaint Regarding Recent Dining Experience I trust this message finds its way to you. I am writing to express deep concern about my recent experiences at your restaurant. Unfortunately, there has been a noticeable decline in the quality of the food and overall cleanliness standards. In particular, instances of undercooked meat have been observed, posing health risks and raising concerns about the competence of the staff responsible for meat preparation. Additionally, the individual handling the grilling process appeared unclean, with exposed head and facial hair. Moreover, there was a noticeable imbalance in the serving portions, with an excessive amount of salad compared to a meager portion of meat. This falls below the expected standards for your establishment. Furthermore, it is essential to prioritize customer satisfaction, as this negative experience has adversely affected the overall dining experience. I bring these issues to your attention with the hope that they will be promptly addressed. I appreciate your swift attention to this matter and anticipate tangible improvements in the near future. Addressing these concerns promptly will undoubtedly contribute to the enhancement of your...
