I am absolutely furious! If you are vegan or have allergies or any dietary restrictions, DO NOT EAT HERE!!
Two weeks ago, I ate at Boston Pizza with a few friends of mine. I am vegan, and I also refuse to consume alcohol in ANY capacity, even if it’s cooked with the food I eat (so no cooking wine for me). At first, the waitress was very understanding of the fact that I’m vegan and went out of her way to check that the pasta dish I was looking at was, in fact, vegan (provided I asked for no cheese). I had also asked for there to be no wine cooked in with the dish. I received the food, and it was definitely vegan: no cheese in sight, which I was delighted about. But upon taking a bite, I, being someone who is extremely sensitive to the flavour of alcohol (as I haven’t had alcohol in several years), could tell that there was wine in it. I called the waitress over and told her about my concerns, as I no longer had an appetite for the meal. She argued with me at first, claiming that I had not asked for it to be made without wine in it. I told her that I had indeed asked for that. She took the meal away and said they would remake it. Moments later, she returned with the very same meal that she had taken away and claimed that the cooking staff had said they didn’t cook it with wine at all, and that it was “wine free”. So I took the meal back, and I VERY sceptically ate it, knowing full well that it must have wine in it. I had not, however, had artichokes in a VERY long time and could not remember the flavour, so chalked the wine flavour I was tasting to being the artichokes and begrudgingly ate the meal.
Later that evening, my boyfriend had wine, which reminded him of the flavour of wine (my boyfriend had tasted my meal earlier and told me that he didn’t think my meal had wine in it). He later told me that he did, in fact, in retrospect, believe my meal had been cooked with wine. I also had artichokes on pizza later that week, and only ordered them to see if maybe, just MAYBE, it really was the flavour of the artichokes: it absolutely was NOT the flavour of the artichokes. It was definitely wine.
I am so hurt and so appalled at this moment. I have chosen to completely swear off alcohol because of an abusive step-father, who would regularly become belligerent and generally terrible while drunk. I have not had a SIP or even a TASTE of alcohol since I was 19 years old. I feel disgusting and dirty as I sit here typing this message because Boston Pizza has ruined the refusal of alcohol for me, even when I told them of my concerns. I am not sure if the waitress was simply annoyed with me at this point, or if the kitchen staff simply lied to her because they didn’t want to make my meal again, or if the company simply refused to remake it because they didn’t want to “waste money” on food waste. I am fully aware that when wine is cooked, the alcohol evaporates, leaving only the taste; however, I am horrified, disgusted, and mortified that a company in the food industry would so blatantly disregard the feelings of a customer and lie to their face about what they put into their food.
Where does this end? What is the limit? If they lied to me about my food containing wine, who is to say they don’t lie to people with food allergies about their food containing the foods their deathly allergic to? I have never felt more disgusted at a food industry company in my entire life. I will never be eating here again, and I will absolutely be telling all of my friends to never eat here, either.

Read moreHave ordered takeout from this location before, they went above and beyond everything was great. ...it was the complete opposite the last time I ordered takeout.
Please note this order was for a 3 year anniversary dinner...Ordered chicken Caesar salad with extra croutons, spaghetti with grilled chicken and cheese, spaghetti with meatballs and cheese, and mashed potatoes.
No more croutons than the last time I ordered (didn't ask for extra croutons last time,) was only given one small container of Caesar dressing that was half filled lol. No cheese on either pasta, the noodles in the chicken pasta were overcooked - both pieces of chicken were overcooked and dried out. The meatballs were extremely spicy and gritty, which resulted in that pasta being thrown out. The mashed potatoes had a hard crust around them, which was so disgusting I gave to our cats...the garlic toast was burnt which seemed intentional. Seeing how burnt the toast was they could've easily made more to send out but nope didn't care. Probably was in spite because I ordered 35 minutes before close due to their website crashing when I tried to order an hour before close initially...
Spent $52 (17% tip) and drove 40 mins to get the food. tried to reach out to rectify the situation and the manager was unapologetic, offering me a $10 off coupon for "next time." Obviously with receiving such disgusting food I would never return there to purchase more to use that coupon... I tried reaching out again, saying I just wanted my food remade since more than half of it was inedible.
Got a pretty rude response, now they would give me 25% off which was "more than fair" after this manager agreed the chicken was over cooked, the garlic toast was burnt but stated "I know for a fact that there was extra cheese on each order, as I was here when it was packed, maybe not as much as you were expecting, but there was more cheese on everything than our corporate recipe specifications list."
I sent pictures showing there was NO cheese AT ALL on either pasta and have yet to hear back.
Seriously would've been better off going to McDonald's to celebrate our three year anniversary. The fact the managers don't care sure shows how much they value their customers, especially during the pandemic.
Again, just wish they would fix the issue by remaking the food instead of lying when I have...
Read moreThe servers and manager were quite rude and disrespectful — the worst B.P. I’ve ever been to.
Our ice hockey team made a reservation at Wellington Rd, London. Since some of our members had early matches in the afternoon, we requested that some of us be allowed to order and eat earlier. However, the manager rejected our request, insisting that everyone must be present before any orders could be placed and food prepared.
Despite our repeated explanations that we were in a hurry due to the upcoming match, the manager demanded that we sit separately from our friends if we wanted to eat early. With no other option, we reluctantly sat apart from our teammates and quickly finished our meals. When it came time to pay, the manager forcibly added an 18% service charge to our bill, citing the team booking, even though we were made to dine separately.
We argued that since we were not allowed to dine together as a group and were treated as individual customers, we should also be allowed to decide our own tip amount like regular walk-in guests. In response, the manager became dismissive and even threatening, saying that the chef was physically strong and could stop us from leaving by force. She also told us we were banned from returning to the restaurant and insisted we had to pay the group service charge.
In the end, we had no choice but to call the police to mediate the issue with the bill. Throughout the incident, both the manager and the staff were extremely rude in their pursuit of tips. This was by far the worst service experience I have ever had at...
