Waitress was AWESOME, quick, helpful, attentive, funny and informative
We had qussadillas, pulled pork sandwich, and a baked panzo. The food was above average, and we would return again.
So in the last few months of covid recovery turned again in fact would be there probably a total of four or five times now
Now that patios and stuff are open they do cater to a lot of small groups and single people who are just going there for a few drinks you kind of expect that it's a pub and food kind of atmosphere but with that being said at the same time going out for something nice to eat with four kids and my wife and hearing a lot of loud boisterous swearing and whatnot is not always the best atmosphere for a family vibe Don't get me wrong nothing was out of hand just a lot of beer happy guys having guy conversations and after a polite reminder that kids were around things were much more tame
Again every time we've been there the waitresses and the wait staff of being excellent happy joking around polite quick to respond they check back on you multiple times the food has been good is not world-class there but it's better than fast food joints like Harvey's McDonald's Etc there's a nice selection of things like burgers Steaks shawarmas & Wraps panzarottis fish and chips and after trying several different things from the menu the burgers the the steak The Fish & Chips the shawarmas there's really not being anything so far that I would not recommend
The prices are not bad the food is well above average and the experience is pretty Pleasant all around I would recommend Bernie's at Sherwood Plaza and I'm sure we will be back again...
Read moreWhat a joke. We went in for what was advertised as 49b cent wings. We also added fries, with the specific request for the fries to be well done. When the wings came, half were the wrong sauce, and the fries were soggy mashed potatoes. One of us got to eat while the other watched, and vice versa when the others right order finally arrived. After 30-40 mins of being there, and almost done our already delayed meal, we were informed we needed to order a drink to get the wing special. We very rarely drink alcohol or pop, but we ordered 2 ginger ales after being informed after the fact that those were our options. The drinks delivered were soda water. The waitress never returned and by the time she could be flagged down, we were more than done and ready to leave. She claimed it was her fault and she was sorry for "all the mix ups", but proceeded to bring us a bill with 2 ginger ales on them, despite the fact our soda waters were untouched. The wings were also 59 cents. Not a big deal, but not what they advertised. People make mistakes, but when you don;t right your wrong then you become a shady, joke of a business. We will never return and recommend everyone...
Read moreEvery once in a while we give this place another shot, we've been here SEVERAL times in the past. Last time we were here we were seated and forgotten. Finally left (hostess wished us a good evening on our way out the door? Seriously?). But yeah, it's close so we thought we'd try again.
We were seated promptly and our server was quite nice. $17.99 for a soup and Caesar salad, could have added chicken to it for an extra $7.99. If I had known the salad was going to be a bowl full of lettuce with sparse dressing and a few croutons I would have ordered the chicken on it. Maybe bacon and perhaps grated cheese would have helped. As it was I couldn't finish it as it was pretty tasteless. Soup was pretty good but would have been better with some crackers or toast. There was a small slice of not quite toasted bread with the salad though.
Overall... not too bad but nothing to write home about. So yeah, it's close, the service is pretty good and the beer's cold. But next time I'm meeting friends from out of town I'll drive a...
