Eat here just once and you won’t want Chinese anywhere else. If I could give them more stars I would! A friend of mine kept urging me to come here. We live in the opposite end of town so it seemed senseless to drive that far when I’d be passing by a plethora of Chinese food restaurants en route. Well I finally tried it and it’s come to my attention that I’ve been eating GRUEL every time I’ve ordered Chinese in the past. Here vs ā€œOther Placesā€ - fresh vs must’ve been made 3 days ago - you can taste the flavours of the fresh ingredients vs salt overload - you don’t feel that heavy, gross feeling after you’re done eating vs immediate bloat - big portions including lots of premium ingredients vs big portions consisting mainly of the cheap ā€œfillerā€ ingredients - no msg vs msg - chicken balls are mostly chicken vs chicken balls are mostly dough

My first time here and it was very good. The food was delicious and fresh! Just enough portions. It was very clean inside Nd also the washrooms were clean too. This place in wheelchair accessible, you have fit large groupings they have great family specials where you can share a dinner for. The price is on the higher side but you get what you pay for. They have lots of parking. I will defiant come back. Thank you!

I’ve ordered a dinner special for takeout here recently and made the mistake of looking at their Dine-In menu rather than the Takeout menu for a pickup order, so I was slightly surprised when I had not received my Wonton soup that was stated on their menu. Understandingly enough they only provide the free soup when dining in, so that was my mistake šŸ˜….

I have ordered food from Chinatown multiple times, it’s been decent. Tonight however, the experience wasn’t great. I called in an order for a dinner for three and asked to substitute one of the items for another. I explained several times that it was a substitution, not an addition. My wife picked up the order and found it more expensive than usual.

Food was ok at best. (Hence the stars) But as it turns out, they added an item instead of substituting it. I called to explain the error.

There was no apology, and if I wanted my money back, I’d have to drive the food back to the restaurant…a very strange, and uncourteous response.

I didn’t open the item, and would have gladly returned it. However, because of health regulations, restaurants usually take food back. They then informed me that it would simply be dumped in the garbage.

In the grand scheme of things, it’s a $15 item…not a huge deal. But that’s not the point. It’s the principle. It says a lot about a business when they take little / no responsibility for their own error and then require you to drive back with the food in order to get a refund, only to watch the food get dumped.

Instead, they could have offered an apology, and money back as an acknowledgment of their error. This would have gone a long way to reinforce customer service, and incentivize repeat business.Perhaps they should stroll over to Abe’s and take lessons on how to offers exemplary customer service.

So, now, I’ll look at other restaurant options.

(I should also mention that the previous time I ordered from Chinatown, they forgot items on my order and wanted me to drive back...

I recently dined at china town in Byron and I must say, it was an outstanding experience! From the moment I walked in, the warm ambiance and welcoming staff made me feel right at home. The menu was extensive, offering a plethora of authentic dishes. I decided to try the Tofu and vegetables both of which were absolutely delectable. just the right amount of spice, and the tofu was rich and flavorful. The presentation of each dish was a work of art, and you could genuinely taste the freshness of the ingredients. Additionally, the house-made dumplings were a highlight — they were perfectly steamed and bursting with flavor. Service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. I left china town feeling completely satisfied and eager to return. If you're looking for authentic Chinese cuisine in a cozy setting, this place is a...
