Crumbs & Cream - Ultimate Dessert Spot — Restaurant in Ontario

As a customer service worker I am always very patient and understanding when it comes to ordering from other places as I know shit can be hard, but i was extremely disappointed by crumbs and cream. they had gloves on, but never changed them or washed their hands when switching from task to task i.e. handling money and then immediately touching food with their hands.

What drew me to this place to begin with was that they had affogatos on their menu. As a coffee lover and local barista i was excited to see their process and to experience an affogato for the first time elsewhere in Chatham. When I ordered it, the cashier was confused as to what I was ordering and then proceeded to talk to his coworker who then said “It’s ice cream with espresso I think”. It was clear to me that this place is a “do it all” sort of spot. No one is able to do it all, especially when you are understaffed. This results in uncooked food, no love or care into the things you’re overpricing and a miserable company.

I am always open to new people and new places, but you can just tell these people don’t really care about...

Place is pretty nice visually, it’s a rather small space with limited seating which is no fault of their own it’s just something to note that during peak times there may be a bit of wait. The menu is very good with plenty of options. Unfortunately they had no beef so I had to pick something else. However with what we did get is absolutely incredible idk how they make such delicious food. My wife’s chipotle chicken poutine was absolutely amazing my crispy chicken burger was excellent very crispy but somehow very moist. There fries are arguably the best fries I ever had. Then there’s the apple funnel cake. Definitely the best funnel cake I ever tasted.

The prices are very good to, cheaper then the average restaurant. when I seen my bill I almost felt like they were getting ripped off. Tipping is not really a thing they have a tip jar but I carry mainly debit I wish I had a way I could tip them cause i definitely would have.

Crumbs & Cream, is an absolute gem! The customer service was excellent, and the price-to-taste ratio was spot on. Service was fast, and the owner, Aslam who attended to us personally, is clearly passionate about what he does.

I tried the Peri Peri Chicken Burger, Chicken Wrap, Strawberry Funnel Cake, Jalapeño Poppers, Veg Samosas, and Meaty Poutine—everything was freshly made with high-quality ingredients and put together with care. Even the sauces are made in-house, which is rare for a fast-food spot! I enjoyed the food so much that I ended up ordering extra to take home.

Another great thing is that they serve Halal meat and are transparent about their suppliers for those who want to verify. I found out that this is their second location, with the first in Cambridge, ON—I might check that one out when traveling between Chatham and the GTA.
