Einstein's Cafe — Restaurant in Ontario

The staff are racist and absolutely disrespectful. I asked for tea today afternoon, there was a blone lady full night makeup look, I looked at her name tag I think it was Maria or marina or something that I couldn’t care less ( had her shift on a Monday afternoon), made me repeat myself five times out loud and still was giving me a very rude attitude because she apparently couldn’t understand “tea”. I am Asian, but I have little to zero accent. She then called another person to help her to translate the word “tea”, he was standing far away and still understood the same thing she couldn’t; after five repeats standing just infront of me. This is a cafe, what possibly can people order other than teas and coffees that you cannot understand after multiple repeats. If she has a problem of not understanding a simple word, maybe this is not the right job for her. I never minded repeating myself, it was the rude face and body language that was screaming “racist”, in this big year of 2025. First, props on the paper straws. Much more environmentally friendly. Unfortunately, the establishment does not match in the quality of its eco-friendliness. I had a café mocha. There was perhaps a half a centimetre of “chocolate” at the bottom of my drink, completely not mixed in, and the coffee was extremely bitter and burnt tasting, as if there wasn’t any milk in it, with the ice cube:drink ration being disproportionate. A dollop of whipcream, nothing more, sealed the deal. This place is bad. Go only for plain, cheaper coffee, if anything, as the cafe in Denver library is too expensive for your daily coffee. Great selection of food and drink in the Natural Science building. There is a good variety of coffee and tea beverages including fair-trade, matcha and chai lattes. They also have a variety of pastry items and ready made meals in a fridge. My favourite though, would have to be their fig and brie croissant which is perfect...
