We have mixed review about this restaurant. Perhaps it is because we got there almost at closing time. So let's give them the benefit of the doubt. The establishment is pretty, medium size, with a large outside front patio. They have a small menu, and the night we got there they didn't have any specials, and by the time we got there, they had run out of a couple items in the menu. Our server was pleasant. An interesting appetizer was the fried brie sticks, like mozzarella sticks yet made with Brie cheese, very rich and very good, although the aioli sauce served with it was too rich for it (it was a delicious and well-made aioli though). It would be better served with a jam that has some acid to it to balance out the richness. The spring greens salad was simple but fresh and well dressed. The spring pea soup was fresh and good, with a very different flavor (hints of coconut and fenugreek) yet it didn't taste like bacon nor was it served with a dollop of sour cream as stated on the menu. The mussels came in a creamy white wine sauce as noted in the menu. It was good, but it takes getting used to a creamy white wine sauce on mussels as opposed to the traditional more liquid white wine sauce. The seafood fettuccine was the best dish of the night.

Bruce our lovely waiter, was very helpful entertaining and professional. We order the bruschetta and french onion soup for appetizers. This is hands down the best french onion soup I've ever had!! It was recommended by another store close by to try it as it's the best! I agree not overly salty, full of flavour and hearty. We then had red sangria made by Bruce and he did not disappoint! Highly recommend 👌 our entres were wild mushroom fettuccini. Full of king oyster mushroom, porchini, and a few others. It was my birthday and desert was on the house otherwise I was full. I tried the creme Brule which was a coffee flavour. I cannot say enough about all the delicious food, drinks and service. If your looking for a classy atmosphere and great service with amazing food and selection....look no further. This is the place for celebrating, getting together with friends or enjoying a nice meal with your significant other. Priced were decent and portions were above average. Enjoy this little diamond in the rough....five stars 🌟

Gave Era67 a shot after a previous subpar experience. This visit was much more in line with it's reputation and our expectations. Started with the stuffed yorkies and the bruschetta, highly recommend both. Looked at the menu before hand, had decided on the stuffed porkchop, but on hearing they had a special of prime rib, went with that. No regrets, I'll have to visit again to try the porkchop. The 2 people who had the lamb shank said it was the best lamb they've ever had. Steak was great too. The chocolate tort for dessert was a fantastic end to dinner. Service was top notch. Good winelist and the cocktails were good.

I am very disappointed in my experience at Era 67 on May 11th 2019. I was told to submit my experience through the website as it would reach a manager (as there was not a manager present the Saturday evening to address our concerns). I am posting a public review as I sent a message on May 13th and am very surprised that I have not been contacted.

I booked dinner reservations for Saturday May 11th for my family to celebrate Mother's Day. When we arrived at 5pm to our reservation we were told that several menu items were unavailable (the halibut, filet mignon, pork chop and later on the duck was out). We were told this was due to Mother's Day the next day however I wish I had been told this when I booked reservations as I have family members with dietary restrictions. We were then told there would be a dinner special however the waitress advised the chef would not tell her the special... at 530pm we proceeded to order (also didn't understand how the chef wouldn't know what the special would be for the evening). We did not get our salads until 615pm and our meals until 650pm. We were told repeatedly that our meals were being plated at 620pm, and at 630pm. We were very disappointed to receive our meals as a few of us had ordered the poutine with a beef back rib and did not get this meal, we had some bits of meat (very small portion) and our waitress told us what we ordered wasn't actually on the menu anymore and our menus were not correct. Since we were starving we ate what we were presented and mentioned we would like to speak to a manager. The salads we received were extremely small portions and my other family members had ordered the 8oz burgers and these were not close to 8oz. I have eaten at Era 67 before and not had these issues. We were then told that there was not a manager on site and the least they could do was take 10% off our bill which was not sufficient considering our experience. We were told there was a new chef and new menu switching over in the next few days, however these should not be reasons for not getting the items we ordered. As a higher priced establishment the food and service we received was not comparable to the price charged and since there was not a manager onsite I assume that is why we could not get our bill rectified as deserved. Wondering why a restaurant on a Saturday evening would not have a manager present. We were under the impression that the manager would be reaching out to us after we submitted this experience on the website to rectify the situation. However, after waiting weeks for a response (still nothing), my family and I will not be returning to this restaurant, I would give zero...

I am hypercritical when it comes to restaurant service as I had previously worked in fine dining as well as casual dining for 12+ years.

My partner and I arrived with no reservation and were seated promptly at one of the last available tables. We ordered an Espresso martini and a classic gin martini both of which were perfect.

We had gone for the Saturday Prime Rib special and I was non visibly disappointed that they were all out of the Prime Rib. However without hesitation, they offered the lamb shank as a surf n turf option. This came with shrimp, scallops and a crab cake. Needless to say this was what I ordered and it did not disappoint. The variety was superb, cooked perfectly and delicious. My partner ordered the Striploin as they were out of the Tenderloin and he said it was the best Striploin he’d ever had.

Our waters were re filled without being asked and our glasses were removed from the table for proper pouring which yes, I notice and appreciate.

There was beautiful local artwork for purchase on the walls which I thought added a very personal, genuine touch. The restaurant, including the bathrooms, was spotless and cozy.

The two gentleman serving were friendly and attentive. We moved to Orillia only a few short years ago, so this was our first visit to Era67. After a brief conversation with our server we learned that he was in fact the current owner and previously a silent partner. He said they had only one chef and staff were difficult to find. As someone who helps operate a family business - I can absolutely relate to the difficulty of finding staff (and good ones at that!)

Our experience at Era67 was comfortable, cared for and satisfying.

And to the reviewer who gave a 1 star re the takeout they ordered via voicemail all I can say is LOL. It’s unfortunate that Google reviews are the main source used to showcase a companies reputation especially when they’re as laughable as that one.

Despite running out of a few items, they were eager to compensate in other ways and I think honest businesses like this need...

These reviews must not be real because the meal was hands down, one of the worst meals I've ever eaten. The service was great but that is not why I'm posting this review today.

From the moment we walked in, I noticed the music, it sounded like they just turned the radio on. Even if it wasn't, the music did not fit the ambiance, or maybe it did now that I think of it.

We were seated and my arms were greeted with stickiness from the edge of the table. I knew my experience was going to be grand. The menu did not look very appetizing but we gave the black garlic bruschetta, shrimp and scallop and cesar salad as apps a try and my husband had the chicken supreme and I the bean ratatouille.

What a disappointment. The only black thing about the bruschetta was that they drenched it in balsamic glaze which killed any chance for decent flavor. The Cesar salad looked at tasted like pre chopped romaine from a bag, kraft bottled dressing with fake n bits. The scallops and shrimp were the worst of them all. 3 tiny shrimp and 3 tiny scallops drenched with this gross cranberry jarred jam, the taste wasn't the issue it was the price at $28!!!! For 28$ one would expect MORE food, not 6 measly pieces of pre-frozen seafood. What a rip off.

By that point we were turned off by the food. Chicken supreme was stuffed and tasted pretty bad. It sat on a strange bed of risotto which I can only describe as risotto mac and cheese. They also topped it off with that cranberry jam, why? Who knows.. but they need to stop using it because its not appetizing at all. The white bean ratatouille had undercooked white beans and eggplant which sat in a pool of ragu.

From what I hear, the restaurant is under new management which explains the poor taste in quality and food. A little tip for the chef's; care about the food you are preparing.. care goes a long way. There was no care or love in this food.

I will not...
