Florence Pizza & Shawarma — Restaurant in Ontario

Yesterday I made an order for delivery, combo had two pizzas, garlic bread, pop, and wings. Also made a side order of nachos. When I ordered I was told 45 minutes which I was amazed by giving the time of day and with how much I got. The delivery wasn’t exactly 45 minutes a little over but I’m not stingy about it, as long as it tasted good :) The delivery driver was very nice, when I put everything down I realized I was missing a pizza. I then immediately called the store and explained the situation, the person I was speaking to put me on hold and passed me onto someone else and then I had to re-explain it again then got put on another hold. They got back to me and told me 20 minutes for the missing pizza, it was suppose to be just cheese but with the issue I asked for pepperoni to be added which they did. I’m now at 70 minutes when I first ordered the pizza waiting on the new one. 20 minutes goes by and nothing, I give the store the benefit of the doubt as I understand it’s the dinner rush and for a Saturday night it’s going to be busy. Another 20 minutes later and there is still no pizza, at this point I’m now angry as I have family members counting on dinner due to medical timing that we need to eat. After 45 minutes of waiting for the missing pizza I had my parter call to ask the ETA to which he was told within 5 minutes as I was not calm enough to call anymore. We got told 20 but in reality it took around 45-50 minutes for this new pizza to be sent. The new delivery driver went to the wrong address and when they got the correct one they were very apologetic and we understand mistakes happen no one is perfect we are glad we got the pizza, it was late but still delicious. The pizza was good and everything was good. It’s very hard to find a good pizza place nowadays not coated in grease and this place is really good. Now to the reason I’m making the review is I got a call a day later after this issue by the stores manager, to check in the situation which a day later never had someone do that which is nice there is nothing to resolve we are good now. However the store manger explained to me due to the review my parter left that the store owner is going to fire the delivery driver that originally delivered the pizza and that he had to pay out of pocket for the missing pizza and the new pizza. The manager asked if there was anything I could do about the review and he was very upset for the employee which is very rare to hear, meaning this is a great team of people to work with. I don’t understand why I would’ve been called to be told the first delivery guy would be fired, I didn’t have issue with him on my end. I don’t know if this is a first offence or anything like that but there is a missing pizza. So either it wasn’t made and someone pinned in the poor delivery guy or he forgot to pick it up. There is nothing I can do about my review other than tell the truth and this is it.

These kind of situations happen my review reflects how upset I was about this yesterday. The food here is always delicious and that is a fact, the service is great as well. Just this time it was not and 2 stars reflects that. Not having 5 stars does not mean this is a bad business, I think it’s fishier to have perfect stars cause most of the time people fake them, having negative reviews helps you learn for what you need to improve on and fix. You should learn from this situation as everyone does. I’ll still order and enjoy my pizza from this place nothing like that has changed for me. You shouldn’t however call a customer to change their rating on you and try and guilt trip them about firing your employees, that is something that bothers...

Excellent pizza. Friendly staff. Fair prices.

I have been to this pizza place several times now and I can confidently say that their pizza is consistently great quality. They are generous with the cheese and toppings. I often pick this pizza up on my way out of town to visit family and the location is extremely convenient on the edge of london near veterans. The biggest hit with my family is always the cheesy bread. Everyone always wants more of it so now I have to buy two.

The restaurant and cooking/prep area is entirely visible to the customer and everything appears very clean. I appreciate the open design because its immediately obvious that they have standards with regard to hygiene.

Finally, I will also happily state that the staff are lovely people who genuinely seem to care about the finished product. Their attitude is a big selling point for me because the positive energy is reflected in the quality of the pizza.

Going into this I expected one of the titular foods to be problematic to be weak, but I was way wrong. Shawarma has FLAVOUR and the (white box) pizza was really good.

For the pizza: it's definitely conveyor belt pizza, but you should know that from the price. It was very good though. I'm not usually wanting to comment on the sauce, but extremely tasty, and good cheese. I asked for well done, and while the bottom wasn't quite where I usually like it... It held up well. Dough was excellent, I can gauge how much my kid likes it by if he eats the crust, and he absolutely did.

Shawarma kind of stole the show. Heavily seasoned and delicious. As someone who spent quite a bit of time in Ottawa I am so happy to find garlic potatoes.

Also have the barbecue wings: good size, good seasoning, perfectly cooked.
