Perfect Pre-Race Fuel in Kingston We stopped in for a pre-triathlon dinner, hoping for some good Italian food, and were not disappointed! We started with the Arancini (fried rice balls), which were excellent. Served in a tasty tomato sauce with melted mozzarella, they were light, fluffy, and seasoned perfectly. We followed that with an all-dressed pizza. The thicker crust was light and cooked through, though a crispier exterior would have made it perfect. The toppings—pepperoni, green peppers, and mushrooms—were fresh and plentiful. The best part was the stringy, non-oily cheese layered on top and bottom. Service was hard-working, pleasant, and attentive. The restaurant had a nice, warm atmosphere with wood tones and pictures of Italy. We saw some other amazing-looking dishes go by, especially a cheese and meat platter, so we'd love to return. A great find in Kingston!

We probably travel by GO Italian Restaurant at least once a day and puzzled why we've never gone there to dine these many years. We finally had dinner there last night and very much enjoyed the occasion. I had the two specials which were vegetable soup and crab pasta. I accompanied them with an Italian red wine. My partner had a salad and seafood with spaghetti and drank a sparkling water. The service was excellent. We never had to wait at any time and our server was very pleasant and helpful. Four other tables of diners were also enjoying their dinners. There was a nice ambience. Our entrees were in the $20 range and my wine was $10 for a six ounce glass. It was good value for the money. On the way out, we noticed a glass counter which had a good take-out selection. Overall, we had a very good experience and look forward to returning with family and friends.

GO Italian is a nice local restaurant that has all the Italian fare that North Americans have come to expect but with a few nice additions form the chef. I've been a few times and have not been disappointed. The Coastal Greens salad has an avocado, asiago vinaigrette dressing, and they do a great Cesar salad. The tour of Italy is for BIG eaters who just cannot decide what they want most, with a hefty Chicken Parmesan and Alfredo Linguini PLUS Lasagna. The Lasagna is nicely done with great flavour yet not overly heavy or acidic. The pizzas are unique combinations that provide great flavours. I regret not having the Tiramisu - I just did not have the ability to eat any more. Next time!

We've been coming here fairly regularly over the past few years. The service is always very good - but the food quality has become inconsistent. One of my favourite dishes was the Cheese Tortellini, but two of the last 3 times I ordered it, the dish was quite bland. We also had the Italian Meat & Cheese Board as an appetizer, and surprisingly it was bland also. The cheeses were all tasteless and rubbery, the meats were, with one exception, also quite bland. The breads were good, however. Overall, we were disappointed with the meal.

9 months later - gave them another chance. A much better food experience this time. A mistake was made with our order (pizza) and the waitress noticed before we did. She immediately took it back and came back in under 15 minutes with the correct pizza. It was terrific, as was the service and the way she handled the problem - kudos all around! I'm upgrading my rating.

Well; another disappointment. The best thing about our visit this time was the wine - they didn't make it. I had a Caesar salad to start - it tasted like a cheap Kraft-like dressing. The 'Tour Of Italy' dish was completely lacklustre. The chicken Parmesan was dry and a little rubbery, the lasagne was unrecognizable as it had been seemingly dumped onto the plate and the fettuccine with Alfredo sauce was totally missing Alfredo (I didn't eat it). It tasted like a plain white flavourless sauce. This place has been hit and miss for the last few years - mostly miss in our case. I don't think I'll risk...

Went for dinner at GO Italian with my girlfriend. We got there and it was very busy but the hostess was very sweet and managed to fit us in even though we had no reservation. The ambiance was nice and the waiter was very polite. The menu was very Americanized Italian food, nothing was really authentic, a little disappointing but expected when you consider the target audience.

For appetizers we had the bruschetta, which was very nice, the sweetness of the balsamic with the feta cheese was a very good combination. The house wine was very good and it was very inexpensive too.

I decided to go for the Gnocchi as love pesto sauce, and my girlfriend picked the Seafood linguine. My dish was a creamy pesto and it was not very well-balanced, I don't know if that is standard in Canada but I don't expect cream in my pesto. It also had lots of pees and asparagus so my gnocchi tasted like an extremely salty pee soup.

My girlfriend's feedback on her dish was not very pleasant either. She barely started eating her food and she found a hair on her food, for which the staff apologized and changed it right away. According to her, it felt like her dish was a bunch of different dishes put together. The mussels did not go well with the cajun shrimp, which did not go well with the alfredo sauce, if they managed to cook everything together and mix the flavors better it would be better.

Overall, not a great experience but the at least the service was good. For 100 bucks I would go to East...

I can’t say enough great thing about Go Italian catering. My son and daughter in law were recently married at our home. Jess arrived and quietly and efficiently got to work. She could not have been more accommodating, friendly and professional. She always had a smile on her face!

The food was amazing and was served piping hot. There were 4 meal choices and each one was so flavourful. The guest loved the food and said it was much better than usual wedding fare.

What impressed me the most was the attention to the special accommodations of guests. There was no doubt in my mind that Jess was on top of the allergy accommodations and it took a load off my mind. These meals were prepared first so there was no chance of cross contamination and still they arrived at the same time as the other meals nice and hot and delicious.

Finally, my kitchen was left cleaner than when they arrived and they pack up the same way they arrived, quietly , efficiently and professionally and leaving enough food behind and packed into containers to feed all of the bride and groom’s families and the wedding party the next day. 5 stars isn’t enough to describe our experience with Jess and Go...
