Minos Take Out West — Restaurant in Ontario

They are never consistent and it's so frustrating because when they do bring out good food it's delicious.

This was about a month ago I just never got to posting the review.

We ordered the usual variety pack with upgraded side sizes for takeout.

Once I got to the restaurant and picked up the order I always check in the car before leaving to go home.

I noticed buns were missing so I went inside and asked if I could have some.

....turns out buns ran out and they are complimentary( which is not stated in the website menu, and otherwise should be properly stated. ) Therefore since there were complimentary they didnt give anything else for compensation.

The chicken was good as always but God the rice changes every time.

The rice will either be too mushy, not cooked enough, too much seasoning OR NOT ENOUGH. This time it was a completely different issue I had a feeling the rice they used was a different kinda from the usual ....due to the smell of it. I've bought this kind of rice and recognized the smell immediately...it has a sort of dirt-smoke smell to it...not very pleasant.

Anyways I would highly recommend for the chef's to make sure and try every dish so that quality and remain consistent. We are not sure if we will be...

The last three times we've ordered, we've been disappointed to say the very least. Last night, we were told 10-15 minutes time for pick up after calling in a Family Pack order. We waited 35 minutes in total. Food: Greek Salad. ALL lettuce was brown on the edges with some rotten pieces within the salad, most of the lettuce was not in any way "crisp" but rather limp and old. The salad contained very few peppers or cucumbers. Greek salads used to be full of veggies and more feta cheese than one could handle but not anymore. Buns were not fresh at all, and were at least a day or two old. They were composted as soon as we got home. Ribs were boiled, with BBQ sauce "slopped" on them, with no flavour at all. Rice and potatoes were good and chicken is good as well, however all hot foods were lukewarm and needed to be reheated (we live approx 10 mins from Minos). This has not always been the case as we used to order from Minos quite often before this year, but in the last year (2018) their service and food qualities have declined tremendously. After years and years and two generations of ordering from Mino's take out, last night...

Went to Minos takeout for a treat takeout dinner. Well I had to wait 45 minutes for my order to be ready. Which I was ok with cause there food is always so good. At the 45 minute mark I went in and politely asked if they had forgotten me. I got a snooty tone back saying "it's right here it just came up" I thanked them and told them to have a nice evening. Drove home to Napanee, opened our bags and no desserts. So I called, and after being put on hold 5 times they said I could come in and get them or they could take my name for a credit.No apology. No no well give you a free dessert for our mistake and your inconvenience. So I said nothing else that's it? So I was put on hold once again and then told I could have a free dessert. Still no apology. Got into the meal itself and WOW it's the worst dried out food I've ever had from there. It was GROSS! I don't dare say anything as they're already mad at me. Needless to say we will never go...
