Great Canadian Bagel — Restaurant in Ontario

Went today with a friend for brunch. I opted for a plain bagel toasted with butter and it literally had no taste. The butter had zero flavour as did the bagel. Not sure it was even butter...more like a tasteless spread of some kind. Was pretty disappointing considering how expensive they are. I will stick with Tim Hortons bagels from now on.

Thank you to the owner for the response; however, I was not asking you to list the ingredients for the Tim Horton's bagels but appreciate the thorough research you did. I was not disputing whether your bagels are made and baked fresh daily or what ingredients you do or don't use. I walked in with low expectations and walked out genuinely impressed—with a super fresh salad and a massive bagel sandwich. The lettuce was crisp, the tomatoes fragrant—not those sad, days-old ones you find everywhere else. You know how rare it is to get a salad that tastes like you made it at home? This one nailed it.

And the bagel? Toasted perfectly on the inside, layered with silky lox and a bold garlic cream cheese. Absolute bliss.

While I ate, the staff handled a steady stream of customers with ease, all while keeping the floors and tables spotless. They moved together like seasoned musicians—coordinated, efficient, and totally in sync.

We ordered two dozen bagels for a family event through Uber Eats. The bagels arrived undercooked and they were wet / gooey on the inside. My guess is that they were likely taken out of the oven early to fulfill the delivery timeline. The entire order (over $40!) had to be thrown out due to food safety concerns, and they were also inedible.

The restaurant management was not helpful at all and did not attempt to provide a resolution to this issue (refund, store credit, re-deliver the bagels). I called about 10 times to try to speak to someone who could help me resolve this, and every time I was told the manager was not in. Despite requesting a call back, no one ever called me!
