I do not eat at Bourbon Streer Grill, but my older brother does once in a rare occasion. He only comes here for the chicken; however, I would advise not to eat there as I warn anyone at Masonville Mall to avoid the food court. It feels pre-cooked and microwave food just being heated from the frying pan. That is why, I do not eat at the food court at Masonville Mall besides the drinks at Starbucks (I recommend the Starbucks across the street inside Indigo Book Store or the other one near Best Buy as it is less busy there besides the one inside the mall). The food at the Rec Room for the same price is a lot better even sometimes I do not play their arcade games there. My brother had their broccoli before and taste kind of strange. WokBox across the street from the Masonville Mall beside Best Buy is a lot better, but I would advise not to buy their noodle soups. With that kind of money, I prefer going to Congee Chan restaurant not far from Costco on Wonderland Road or Thuan Kieu restaurant on Highbury Avenue. I am not risking eating anything from the food court unless you want to waste your money you work hard for and go to the washroom many times. When it comes to food at Masonville Mall. I prefer going across the busy road for Chipotle, Five Guys and a Burger or even Jack Astor’s restaurant. Everytime, I go to the food court with my brother. Often, it is bad times finding hair on his food or the food taste strange even it is not from Bourbon Street Grill. The only thing if I have to stay and eat at Masonville Mall is food from the Rec Room “The Shed”, drinks from Starbucks and Shoppers Drug Mart. I only buy Reign, Monster Celsius energy drinks from Shoppers Drug Mart. There are many better food out there than the food court at the mall. If I were you, I would advice to find better options, and avoid food poisoning including not wasting hours of your life for your money you work hard for and how you spend it. Wisely choose what you eat and pay for because the food quality at the mall is mediocre. I would rather cross the street from the mall and have a burrito from Chipotle along with a drink from Starbucks inside Indigo Book Store plus a nice hamburger at Five Guys...
Read moreWe were strolling through Masonville place, and decided 2 stop 4 coffee, I sat down at a table just across from Bourbon Street Grill, while my better half went 2 fetch us some coffee, we were sitting down and enjoying our coffees, I noticed my wife eyeballing Bourbon Street Grill, and I asked if she was hungry, she mentioned that so far the food she's been seeing customers with looked very appetizing, mentioned 2 her if you want 2 order something go ahead, but just one plate, I really wasn't that hungry, I let her order, since I have some mobility issues, we both agreed though on the blackened chicken, with noodles, and broccoli, my wife also got me a set of chopsticks, everything looked so good and I proceeded 2 dig in, I could not believe how good everything tasted, and my wife agreed, there was so much food on our plate, we shared it happily. Our plate was not dear at all, and we both agreed 2 try them again 4 lunch at the next...
Read moreI’ve been going to Bourbon Street Grill for years and the experience is pretty consistent everywhere. The Bourbon Chicken is my favourite and I typically ask for half rice and half noodles. The rice is a 6.8/10 - is nothin crazy or anything but accompanies the other dishes nicely.
I would give the noodles the same score. Lacking a bit of flavour and daily dry.
I can understand some peoples critique of the Bourbon Chicken but I think it’s the 🌟 of the show.
The vegetables were still crisp and not over cooked.
✅One thing you can’t complain about is the portion size. It’s really like (2) meals for the price of one.
✅The other is the service, very concise and controlled assembly line of customer service people ready to take your order.
Overall - 7.8/10 on the dish.
I don’t go to the mall often but when I do, I definitely take some Bourbon...
