Gyros & Delights — Restaurant in Ontario

I experienced the following in May of 2021 and it was a MISTAKE to ever order from this nasty joint.

Let me start by saying I am a huge fan of chicken. It's my meat of choice. I get it whenever I eat out, any type of chicken sandwich, I've had everything from chicken gyros to burgers to salads from all kinds of local Windsor restaurants and chains, I eat it pretty much 7 days a week, and I wasn't about to stop when I got to Gyros & Delights for the very first time, was hungry and in the mood for greek food, and so I ordered two chicken related things off their menu: the chicken gyro and the Greek salad with some chicken added on top as extra. What can go wrong, right?... WELL...

Let me tell you and warn you... this chicken is bad. And I mean BAD. It is the WORST quality chicken I have come across in a very long time. It's actually rubbery!!! It's a weird, rubbery, chewy, strange texture that truly boggles my mind. It's not a normal quality of chicken. It was actually so gross. How do they even manage to cook this to achieve this quality? Both the chicken in the wrap and on the salad was the same very bizarre quality that wasn't even appetizing. I became instantly nauseous after biting it and trying its texture in the first couple bites (just to make sure my first bite wasn't a one-off). I had to throw it out!!! What a waste of food and money but seriously! I didn't want to keep eating it for 1) its scary, rubbery texture and 2) the fact that it might just be very bad quality chicken that they source from a poor supplier and it might make me very ill.

I know chicken pretty well. I eat it literally all the time. I eat often at Greek restaurants and chicken far and wide in this city all has generally the same quality, nice and firm and well cooked and, well...chicken-y. This stuff was some bad meat. I was absolutely grossed out and will not be eating here again. Funny enough, I did hear in the past that they had bad chicken but I don't knock things until I try them. Guess they were right! No thanks to this place!!! Plenty of other good gyro joints to choose from in the city,...

I’ve been going to Gyros & Delights practically since they opened. I used to live just down the street and it was always top-notch food, quality and service. The family atmosphere is unmatched and they are truly some of the nicest people in Windsor. I’ve had most of their menu and would honestly recommend anything which is rare. Each time I order the consistency, quality and care really shine through. Customer service is exceptional and the man usually working is really funny and sarcastic which adds to the experience if you try talking to him. 100/10 would recommend and it is still my go-to spot or quick, delicious and very well priced greek food! Support this great local and family-owned restaurant as they clearly deserve it! Thanks Gyros & Delight for being the best Greek...

This has happen a few times in the last few years. Menu on this is b.s. pricing. They say Its been old for years. They say they will fix. Receipts are just the total charges. E.g. Price for a gyro combo says 6.99 Then you order and go pick up it is 10.99 What a fxxing b.s. Owner says its an old menu online And its years old or its a menu from a different place.... lol... All there online prices are wrong. When ordering they don't tell you the price untell you show up and need to pay. I'm not ordering from them any more and letting everyone know about this. I will take this down when they fix the menu and restart ordering but under a different ph. #. Lol.. don't want a bad review...
