My husband spoke positively about his previous visit to this restaurant for brunch with a family member so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The food may be good but the service was abysmal. When we walked in, it was like the record skipped and conversation stopped - weird vibe. The place wasnāt busy (two other tables were occupied) so there was really no reason for my husband to flag down the server after waiting for 10 minutes so she could take our order. At least it didnāt take 20-30 minutes for the meals to get to the table (15 minutes for a burger and onion rings/clubhouse sandwich and wedges). When the server did walk by the table, she didnāt ask how everything was, as is customary at any restaurant. Her only question was, āDo you want more mayo?ā There actually should have been mayo on the clubhouse sandwich, at the very least and some form of condiment on the burger (mayo, ketchup, mustard, etc.). With the other tables, there was friendly banter - nothing for us. It may be a matter of taste but it certainly isnāt ours and we wouldnāt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis little restaurant is a quiet retreat with friendly staff who may or may not have things together when you arrive. Their food, while fresh, leaves much to be desired. I had the 4 piece broasted chicken and my wife had the hot turkey sandwich. The turkey sandwich was drenched in gravy and was thus very soggy to begin. As well, the sandwich lacked in the flavor department such to be reminiscent of nursing home food. The mashed potatoes where well done texture wise but again lacked in flavor. The broasted chicken was well done, perhaps too well done as some pieces where fairly dry. Finally, the fries that went along with the chicken where par for the course with dismal crispness and again, a lack of any discernable flavor. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. But in the end, I guess it's just a...

Stumbled across matter of taste and realized they had hot turkey sandwiches, so in the notes of the order I just asked for no bread as it was going to be my thanksgiving dinner, not even sure if they would be able to do that. Imagine my surprise my when order showed up with a whole thanksgiving dinner, with stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes, a roll, cranberry sauce, and of course turkey. Along with this very sweet note from the restaurant. I almost cried. Thank you Matter of Taste for making my thanksgiving!! I will be sure to come again and support this business. I...
