I am very disappointed with Harvey's. My recent delivery on UberEats was from Harvey's, let me note that the courier was quick and efficient, it was the restaurants fault that my food was rock-solid and I choked briefly and had to spit my veggie burger out. The patty was burnt to a crisp and was stale. The bread was stale and crunchy like a crouton almost. The burger was so sloppily and carelessly put together, it seemed a toddler created it while playing with random food on their plate. I am lucky I was able to dislodge the patty from my throat, because I was alone in a motel room and wouldn't be typing this if this story went even slightly different and I died by Harvey's burger, what a crazy thing that would make for a coroner's report or autopsy report or on my death certificate. " Death by Harvey's" well I survived. Asked for a refund. Was argued with on the phone and she tried blaming the ubereats driver for the food being so spoiled as if it were sitting out in the sun to dry for 2 days straight. How could my favourite restaurant where I can actually eat as a vegetarian..do this to me? I had to throw out the whole meal and snacks other than the Hershey's pies. Those were heavenly and amazing. I can say though, now my years of eating Harvey's regularly and being a loyal customer are officially over and I will not eat the food again. It was low key traumatic the taste and then the crunch and the choking and spitting it out. Then I had the runs within 2 hours and had been on and off the toilet for 2 days now, yesterday was the worst and I am still very lethargic and dehydrated due to all the fluids I lost from food sickness. I hope you change your customer service ways and train your employees better or hire competent fast food workers. It isn't that hard to make the food I ordered. Even the mozzarella sticks were stone cold hard solid nastiness. Disappointed all around. I could see my poutine sitting under the heat lamp they prepared my buffalo chicken burger to order but then sat it back under the heating lamp then proceeded to prepare an order that was 3 people behind me instead of the two that were after me. My male friend was ahead of me was waiting for his food, I was waiting for my food that was ready to go but for some reason was placed on the heating rack while they prepared my other friends order who was behind me only after I piped up and said what about her order since they were trying to serve the people who ordered their food after the 3 of us. Then, on top of that, my friend told the girl just mayo on the one chicken burger, yet she put lettuce and other things on thay burger so they had to prepare her another one. A buffalo chicken burger was prepared, but instead of giving it to my friend, they gave it to the person who ordered behind her. Even those people who received the chicken burger said they should have given it to my friend since she was ahead of them. My male friend finally received his food after all of that nonsence, as mine still remained on the heating rack while they served 2 other customers instead of just putting my food in a bag so I could leave. I finally received my food moments before, yet another chicken burger had been prepared for my friend, and we were finally able to get our food and leave after the worst diplay of customer service I have EVER encountered. Read moreI've never had an issue with the food here, maybe one or two small mistakes but they fixed it with no issues.
My main issue is the employees, the past two visits have been okay at best.
The second to last time i came here, I had a tip ready to give the pink haired lady at the drive-thru for when she handed me my food, but when she opened the window, I said "thank you so much!" and she said "yeah". She proceeded to semi aggressively put the food in my hands and immediately shut the window. My boyfriend and I just looked at each other and drove away — I obviously didn't give her a tip. You shouldn't be working customer service if you're going to be miserable.
The last visit (today) we were waiting to order and a younger girl with glasses was talking poorly about another coworker right in front of us. It's one thing to be talking poorly about someone when they're not there to defend themselves, but another to do this in front of customers at work. This behaviour causes mistrust between employees and creates a negative work environment.
Like I said, i've had no issues with this place until the last two times specifically....
