I have never, ever, EVER left a restaurant before I had eaten my meal. Today was a first. I'm glad I went for the experience, it was hilarious! I am so embarrassed for the people who own this and think they have a fine restaurant. Started with calamari and "famous" meatballs. Calamari was well over cooked. Meatballs were processed, and only warm while the sweet tomato sauce and goopy cheese over and around them were piping hot. I wanted to try the rigatoni, but they were "out of stock". I went with the chicken cacciatore, wife ordered the chicken saltimbocca, which says it is marinated in white wine. My dish was disgusting with lots of water in the bottom of the dish. My wife's dish, despite saying it was marinated in white wine, had red wine poured over it (after cooking, not cooked in). Both chickens were rubbery. We took one bite of our entrees and got up to leave, we offered to pay for the food we had ordered even though it was awful but they graciously only charged us for the apps we had eaten.

I used to love Jims, and Ive had their food plenty of times. Tonight was ... weird. Our lasagna tasted like straight vinegar. For real, so sour and acidic it was impossible for it to have been just straight tomato sauce. We guessed maybe someone meant to squirt water in it and grabbed vinegar? I dont know. And barelyyyyy any beef in it that I could see- and they put... ham? On top? Since when is there shredded ham in their lasagna? Lucky I'm not halal and this wasnt a problem for me, but for some this would be very jarring. Greek salad was awesome and huge, garlic bread was good. But this lasagna was inedible unfortunately. I decided to call and let them know just as a courtesy and not at all looking for a refund, whoever spoke to me on the phone was abrasive and frankly unapolagetic. Lol. Wont be ordering from here again anytimr soon, which is a shame.

Had the food delivered so can’t comment on service or atmosphere. Totally disgusted, this use to be the best place for pizza and spaghetti. What happened? Caesar salad had a lot of brown on the lettuce, the dressing was awful, didn’t taste like Caesar, in fact it tasted like grease or oil. Should also never mix it up on a delivery order as lettuce goes soggy pretty quick. The garlic bread was just like what I have in the freezer, Furlani brand, it use to be home made, the bottom of it was partially burnt, while the cheese on top was hardly melted. As for the spaghetti, it didn’t taste great. The marinara sauce on it was disgusting too. Wasn’t what I expect or got the last time from here. You must have changed ownership and taking too many shortcuts.

Have always loved Jim's, but haven't ordered in a couple of months... What happened in that couple of months I don't know, but the food was horrible tonight!!! Ordered a large Jim's Special Combination pizza and an order of jumbo meatballs. The meatballs were definitely not 'jumbo'... There was one that was tiny, one that was maybe medium size, and two small ones. They were terribly over cooked, tasteless, and dry... Felt like eating balls of sawdust. The meat sauce on the meatballs had an overwhelming cinnamon taste. Pretty well inedible. The pizza crust was burnt, the cheese though somehow was barely even melted... It was like they pre-cooked the crust, then threw the toppings on and cooked it again. The pizza sauce, as well, had an overwhelming cinnamon taste to it..... I just ate half a slice, and that's all I could stand.... Also, it was supposed to be a large pizza, and that's what I paid for, but it was more like a medium pizza. Extremely disappointed, as Jim's was my favorite pizza place in Belleville. What happened???? New owners, new cook, what????? Whatever has changed it hasn't been for the better, it's been for the...

This place is just amazing. I chanced upon it a few years ago while stopped over at Belleville train station, for some reason I can’t remember. Started going regularly, stopping off on drives along the 401. If you’re from Belleville and haven’t gone yet or forgot about it - consider that someone who lives in Toronto, near all sorts of Italian places, spends 15+ minutes coming into your city just to pick up lasagne to eat a few hours later. The freshness of the food (and old-school vibe of the place!) remind me more of Montreal than anything else I know of in Ontario. And the portions are just unreal: like New Jersey sized! Even if you’re literally from NJ or Montreal & can get this sort of thing any time, I’d still check it out if you have a chance to stop in Belleville. It’s that good. Veggie options are incredible; my friend who eats meat liked the chicken parm, but their veg lasagne is something almost anyone could appreciate, I think … and imagine that means the meat one & other pastas are legit, too! (Keep meaning to try them, but the veg lasagne is just...
