I understand that there is a certain stereotype that because of my age range being between 18-23 there is a huge chance they will not be big tippers , HOWEVER that doesn’t mean it’s every younger person. That being said I came in yesterday around 3 pm with my girlfriend. We were greeted and shown to our table. We had the first waitress who didn’t really give us much talk and gave our drinks which is no problem. However We had a second waitress who decided that she was not going to give her best efforts in customer service . As she was taking our orders I felt very rushed by her she barely greeted us and showed us no hospitality . My girlfriend ordered the plain jane burger and had a few questions and didn’t even want fries as a side but the waitress instead decided to take it upon herself and not ask any questions such as “was fries okay or did you prefer something else” . I ordered the lasagna and wanted to have gluten free noodles instead but as soon as I said the dish lasagna the waitress instead said “okay” and walked away giving my girlfriend and I no chance to ask any questions nor make any requests. We were given our food from again a different waitress. She was younger and she was much kinder and showed a lot more respect. The food here is good. And I understand it can get difficult being a waitress but seeing the very same waitress laugh and giggle and create conversation with others (over 40 considered to be the tippers ) they didn’t once ask if the food was good for us and if we needed anything else. We did not feel wanted at all. We were expecting not just a fine meal coming to a known restaurant but at least bare minimum service . It seemed we were not given that due to our age. Even after all this I still ended up tipping and was given the machine and was not told “have a good day” or anything between the lines . We were neglected and were not satisfied at all. Age should never be a factor to how we are being served . Respect...
Read moreI recently dined at Jose's Bar Grill, Windsor branch, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The customer service at this establishment is simple terrible. I decided to splurge and ordered the steak, which is one of the most expensive item on the menu. However, my excitement quickly turned to disapoitment when I tasted the soup, which was excessively greasy. When I politely brought this concern to the attention of our waiter, her response was shockingly dismissive. She merely asked, "What do you want me to do?" Feeling undeterred, I explained that I simply wished to provide feedback, as I understand that Jose's sets high prices commensurate with expectations of top-tier food and service quality. Unfortunately, this fell on feaf ears. To add insult to injury, upon preparing to leave, I was appalled to discover that the staff had disposed of my left over food without my consent. When I brought this to their attention, the only response I received was a casual "soooorry" from a different waiter. This carelessness resulted in a loss of over $100 worth of food and left me feeling incredibly upset. Seeking resolution, I returned the following day to express my concerns to the manager. However, instead of receiving an apology or any acknowledgment of fault, I was met with defensiveness. The manager's failure to offer a basic apology compounded my disappointment and left me feeling disrespected as a customer. In conclusion, it is evident that the issues with customer services at Jose's Bar Grill extend beyond individual employees. It is a systemic problem that greatly impacts the overall dining experience. I urge potential customers to consider this before choosing to dine at Jose's in...
Read moreWent for dinner with my partner after not visiting for a few years. Still a great atmosphere, it was nice to hear a busy restaurant in the background while still having privacy in our booth. We ordered the Nashville Chicken Sandwich, Poutine and the Chicken Parm Wrap. The food was very tasty, everything was prepared and presented well. Menu prices were very reasonable compared to several places that we have been. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was not what we were expecting, but still delicious. We are more accustomed to a Nashville Chicken sandwich being made with hot sauce. We ordered a couple of Sour Key Cocktails and they were fantastic, just like a sour key. The service was great, even though it was busy. Overall we had a great dinner and will be back. It's great that after all these years in business it's still a happening spot and a great time out.
EDIT: I returned a week later with family for a birthday meal and it definitely was not the same experience. The service was ok but we only saw the server three times. The food was barely warm when it arrived. I ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich without onions and the server who brought it to the table said it had no onions. There were onions on the sandwich. I didn't send it back because it was busy and I couldn't wait around after my party for a new one. The server also didn't come around for me to tell her before I had to eat it due to time constraints. We did let her know when she did come back and showed her the pile of onions and recieved an insincere "oh sorry about that". We were not offered anything or given a discount. Not a huge deal but kind of disappointing from a service...
