Kokame Express — Restaurant in Ontario

Love this place!! The food is consistently really good! Portions are great and it's pretty good value compared to other sushi spots in London and it's genuinely good quality sushi. I always order it on Skip the Dishes despite living close by because the one time I went in person they charged me for and made a roll I didn't order and refused to take back the roll or give me a refund which was really weird. So their customer service isn't good but if you're ordering with a delivery service you should be safe! If you've never been, the place is also really small so it really is just a take out spot, but that's just a note, nothing against the restaurant at all. This place is by far my favourite sushi in London and I hope they reopen soon as they've been closed for almost 6 months now. My favourites to order are the Philly roll (my favourite Philly roll I've ever found), salmon avocado roll, crispy spicy crab roll. The little chicken dumplings are a solid pick too and you get quite a lot of them...

The sushi is mediocre, but it's worth the price, especially after a night out at the bar or club. The reason for the low rating is due to the horrendous customer service. This particular location will not serve free tap water, and when I brought this point up, the servers yelled "f*k you bitch" and "don't come back". I understand I was a bit rude during the complaint (as I think the law is that you have to provide tap water for free in Ontario), but having the staff yell profanities at customers like a crowd of high school teenage drop outs is just unacceptable under any circumstance. Would not recommend to anyone, unless the current staff was replaced or given...

It's open late (and delivers late through justeat) so this is reasonable drunk food for a reasonable price if you just need something in your belly, but the quality of the sushi is just really bad. It's edible, but just chewy and flavourless unless it's covered in sauce. If you order any "crunchy" roll, it's half "crunch". Also the yam tempura rolls were chewy and not at all fresh. I suspect that they fried the tempura all at once and had it sitting out because there was no crunch to it. Unless it's the middle of the night, there are much much better sushi options in London. They also ignored my delivery request. Probably won't be...
