Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in Ontario

The service at the restaurant is pretty good, and the atmosphere is okay. However, I find that the chicken dishes are not very tasty overall. The only exception is the Buffalo Mary chicken sandwich, which I find amazing. That said, I give it a three-star rating because the other meals are not to my liking; they taste pretty awful in my opinion. Even though the Buffalo Mary sandwich is tasty, I think it's overpriced and not very big. Additionally, they don't offer it on sale on Mondays when they have the $4.99 chicken sandwiches; instead, they offer the regular chicken sandwich, the Big Mary, which I find lacking in taste and has an awful sauce. If you're looking for the best chicken sandwich in Belleville, I recommend going to Wings Up. For $9.49, you'll get a sandwich that's 50% bigger than Big Mary's, much tastier, and more tender. Called ahead to place an order and was told they do not take phone orders. It was suggested I come and stand in the line they have outside the door. When asked how long I could expect to wait, I was told they did not know.

One strike for not taking a food order like everyone else does. Second strike for inconveniencing customers, especially those who might have limitations to standing in the heat and humidity. Third strike is the awful menu system on the website. Incomplete and unnecessarily complicated.

After my phone call and disappointing results, I chose not to purchase from Mary Brown's. With the prices being charged, I expect customers to be valued, not discouraged from shopping here.

After revisiting this location, I can state that things have improved considerably. They're fast and willing to be flexible with your order. The chicken, as always, tastes great. The store is bright and clean.

Ordered 3 piece chicken meal through skip the dishes. The chicke pieces were too oily. Seems like they fry a huge amount of chicken at the beginning of the day and leave it somewhere and when the order comes,they dip it in oil for some seconds and serve it. Tasted gross. I ordered spicy chicken as wll, which is literally the same regular chicken fry dipped in raw chilly powder. I had to throw the whole thing. No cutlery were provided even though I ordered coleslaw as side. I had to use fingers to eat coleslaw 😂. (I don't know if using fingers is the right way to eat coleslaw, i always use some cutlery, especially if I am in office).
