Visited the store today and had a very unpleasant experience. I have shopped here several times before. Today, I was the only customer in the store along with the owner. As I was doing my shopping I noticed the owner turn the security mirror in my direction. When I got to the counter I asked the owner if he turned the security mirror in my direction, he proceeded to tell me “no, your crazy lady”. Clearly unsatisfied with his response he tried to be playful and reassure me by suggesting “you must’ve drank too much tequila”. I was so excited to try the tamales here, but unfortunately they only serve pork and cheese tamales, which is fine, but I feel like it wouldn’t be too hard to also offer plain ones for a broader clientele. Good selection of Latin American grocery staples, baked goods, treats, and some produce. I went in for fresh corn tortillas but came out with much more.
