MightyBird Kingston — Restaurant in Ontario

The first time I went there I had the chicken burger and I thought it was lovely but my experience with having the tacos is a completely other story. One order of tacos is slightly more expensive than the chicken burger and has less, both of them combined weighed out to about 200 g which is a ridiculous considering the price. There was hardly any avocado on it and the cashier said they get two - four little pieces of avocado and if I want more it's going to be EXTRA. Thats a rip off and the owner is making a lot of profit from that menu item. If you're going to be skimpy on the ingredients then make it a trio and not two. Overall the woman I talked to was nice and handle the situation ok although I would say it's not a good idea to say "other people didn't have a problem with the item", because you're minimizing and dismissing the complaint of the customer which you should take at a case-by-case basis, also a lot of people who are unsatisfied usually don't say anything and they just won't come back, so that was a silly argument to make, on top of the fact that most people probably get the sandwiches. The one on the left should be standard I shouldn't have to request extra avocado and the one on the right is more like avocado essence, avocado is supposed to bring a creamy flavor that compliments the richness of the chicken which has no effect when there's like two little slivers. If I'm having tacos I would like to taste the fresh ingredients that are actually in the taco, it should be...

I got a NashvilleHot XX, and it was absolutely awesome. It came out very fast, a couple minutes at most, and was hot and fresh. The sandwhich was a very large portion, and It was perfectly spicy. The chicken was moist and tender while the breading was crispy. The fries were a very nice thick cut, and had a slight seasoned flavour to them .

The staff were very friendly and attentive. They let me know of their deal of the day, and gave me a few recommendations because it was my first time trying it. They even offered me more ketchup when they noticed I was running low without me needing to ask (I've never had a fast food place do so).

Inside it was very clean, the bathrooms were well maintained and actually smelled rather nice. The walls very colorful, but the interior overall was very cohesive and felt like someone actually put thought into the layout and decor.

Overall this is probably my fried chicken restaurant of choice going forward. I'll have to come back to try a couple different items, they all looked...

Ordered Nashville Hot burger and OG burger combos. Those burgers are extremely juicy and have a nice flakey breading on the fresh chicken. Sauces on the sandwiches were great, Nashville Hot wasn't overly vinegary as traditional hot sauces tend to overwhelm the flavor of the burger when you reach that level of spiciness (ordered 2X hot, and yes it was spicy!). The maple honey sauce on the OG burger was to die for. You can definitely tell it's freshly breaded and fried per order. Good burger buns and quality ingredients.

I also really enjoyed the drink options as they have one of those "make your own" drink dispensers, which allows you to be creative.

I would say the fries were just OK, so next time I would just get the burger on its own, or try the chicken strips and chicken & waffles. They do give you a nice little container of buttermilk ranch sauce with the combo which was good!

The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.
