Pokeworks is a refreshing and much-needed addition to the Kingston food scene. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by incredibly friendly and professional staff who make you feel welcome. Even though it's a new restaurant, it runs so smoothly that it feels like they've been open for years.
One of the standout features is the level of customization they offer for their poke bowls. Whether you prefer white rice, brown rice, or even noodles as your base, there’s something for everyone. The variety of proteins and toppings ensures that every visit can be a new experience.
The restaurant itself is spotless—the floors are clean, and the restrooms are well-maintained. While the space is a bit on the smaller side, it’s comfortable enough for a quick meal.
Overall, Pokeworks delivers on both quality and service. With their warm and welcoming atmosphere, excellent food, and professional service, I hope to see more locations pop up around...
Read moreAmazing poke bowls! I used to live in the GTA and I've tried a lot of top-rated poke places, this is probably the best one I've been to. Excellent choice of ingredients, very customizable bowls, every ingredient is super fresh and high-quality. Staff are very pleasant and helpful.
There are only two slight negatives: 1) the price is fairly high, a large custom bowl is $20 and some toppings like avocado cost extra, and at some other poke places I've been to you get a lot of avocado when you pay for it, here they give you very little, but while it's expensive the bowls are a good size with very high-quality ingredients; 2) a small nitpick--their serrano aioli and sriracha aioli are VERY spicy, most other poke places I've been to have a more medium-heat sauce option (usually a spicy mayo/aioli), instead of having two very spicy options it would be great if there were a medium-heat...
Read moreOrdered delivery late in the evening. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The drink was wrong — instead of a regular Coke, I got a Diet Coke, which I don’t drink. I asked for cutlery and napkins — there were none at all. I also ordered extra toppings: chicken (which turned out to be just a few tiny pieces) and avocado (barely a teaspoon), and everything was just thrown into the bowl instead of being packed separately. The packaging overall was poor — the food was squashed, and the rice was barely warm. The delivery was fast, but the service quality was very disappointing. If you put extra toppings directly into the bowl, at least use a bigger bowl. In the end, I had to search for a fork in the hotel at night, and I didn’t even drink the soda since it was the wrong one. Very...
