The food is really good, not gonna lie I absolutely love just about about everything they sell and aside from not having any combos, there's no complaints regarding the menu, just a little more expensive having to buy everything separate but not a huge deal.

Today however, I tried ordering through skip the dishes, nobody confirmed the order and it got canceled which got me a refund in skip credits, something that doesn't help me at all because if it keeps happening then I'm basically just trading my real money for this apps currency and not getting food in the process.

Sure enough, thats exactly what happened. Called the store, they apologized and asked me to order again so I did, ended up again waiting a long time for them to confirm the order so again I call the store and actually have to ask somebody to confirm my order before it cancels. "Oh yep sure sorry about that, it'll be ready in about 10 minutes"

It was over half an hour for a simple order for the driver to start moving but thats more a skipthedishes issue.

Same day, wife comes home and we decide to get it again because she loves 5 guys and AGAIN I have to call the store because no one was confirming the order. This time I ask the lady to confirm the order and tell her ive had to call her 3 times today for this and she says "what's the number?" I said my phone number ? And she says "OH! you mean from the skip tablet" I said yes and get about 3 or 4 words into explaining why I had to call and she just hangs up on me without warning and the order gets confirmed.

I dont know, maybe its because it was sunday but it just felt like I was dealing with a bunch of teenagers with no manager who were too occupied to accept some orders.

Again, I love the food , and maybe it's just because its Sunday, no clue , but I reccomend just ordering for pick up to ensure a...

Had some good fries at 5 Guys in the Rio Can center at 770 Gardiners road and sadly many bad ones as well. The bad experiences are the ones when the fries have been reheated several times to extent that they are burnt and no longer fluffy inside. Yes if you complain they will redo your order but when you only have 20 minutes left on lunch that's not always possible. Today as the gravy was being poured onto my poutine, I exclaimed those fries looked way too done I said, and she said they all turn out that dark because they are not Prince Edward Island potatoes but rather from Idaho. In my mind, I let that ridiculous statement fly by and just shook my head... Now the cook did offer to redo the fries but again I was in a rush. The real reason for the dark fries --- MONEY Savings... they would rather reheat old fries that let them go to waste. Have you ever seen reheated old McDonald's fries - pretty rare right? I am more mad at Management for penny pinching and making the staff tell customers its the type of potato... 5 Guys try changing the OIL more often, stop reheating and refrying leftovers and you will have happier customers.

And one other comment, Salt is good, but the volcano of salt is too excessive on your fries, let the customer decide how much to sprinkle on after.

I am so mad, I just posted this on Tripadvisor as well - and I never do reviews, an...

There should be a zero rating. I went to 5 guys to order a burger yesterday, order number 38. While I was waiting for the order, I saw one of the employees who was handling my food, use his hand to wipe off the counter where food is placed. He didn't wipe the counter with a clean napkin, he used the disposable gloves that he was wearing, the same ones he was wearing to handle food. I assume he had worn them for an extended period of time because you rarely see employees at 5 guys change the disposable gloves which is disgusting. They should be changing gloves frequently, it's a food establishment. After he used the gloved hand to wipe off the counter, he rubbed both gloves on the unclean smock he was wearing and continued to touch my food and other surfaces. He went to the deep fryer, touched equipment there then back to the counter, touched my food again, disgusting. I told a young lady what I had seen. She asked that employee to throw out the bun and remake it. He didn't do that, he asked me why and I told him what I saw him do. He didn't move to go and prepare a fresh bun for the burger so I threw the order number behind the counter and left...

Seems like the price go up every time I’ve gone there in the last couple years. The price are now gone up over two dollars for the burgers and now apparently you can’t take nuts because other people might die. I’m pretty sure we live in the world where if you’re not supposed to eat something you don’t if you’re scared that my nuts are gonna rub up on you maybe don’t stand so close If somebody orders a burger that’s plain with only cheese and bacon maybe change your gloves and make sure that the onion juices/ peice s aren’t stuck to your gloves , don’t be lazy and change them Been told that can’t extra salt the fries because that’s against their policy So they’d rather me waste paper use the ones off of the shelf and not have the salt stick like it would when they’re fresh For a restaurant that’s not supposed to be McDonald’s. It’s slowly becoming one. If I can’t have my food customized the way I want why are you charging me such a high price?

I had Five Guys quite a few times in the States. This was my first time trying it in Kingston. Always impresed by the atmosphere and customer service. However, the price is definitely on the higher end for a fast food chain. I got two burgers (toppings: all the way), two regular fries, 1 salted caramel milkshake, and 1 regular fountain drink. Cost over $40. When you consider the cost to make all of the items above, it's really expensive. I'd say try Five Guys once for the experience just to say you have been there, but $40 will get you a better burger at a nice restaurant downtown Kingston. (Harper's, The Work's)

Been to five guys many times but first time at this location. They have a large seating area with lots of tables. Staff that took our order was friendly and quick. We had both regular and Cajun fries. *FYI for anyone who hasn't been before a large french fry is massive. We split it between 3 people and it was almost too much to finish.* We all ordered lettuce wraps with our burgers. Everything in our order was correct and delicious. There were a few people ahead of us but we didn't wait long for our food. Definitely a great place for a good burger and fries. Highly recommend if you haven't gone here before.
