Molly Bloom's Irish Pub & Restaurant — Restaurant in Ontario

Here's the thing- I love Molly Bloom's. Karaoke is a blast, most of the people there are great, from the staff to the regulars.

I had an incident a couple months ago. I had brought a plate of Christmas baking to give a friend to take home. The bouncer told me I couldn't bring it in- fair enough, I hadn't considered what bringing a wrapped plate to a restaurant could look like. He ended up compromising with me leaving it at the door to collect on the way out.

When we went to leave, we grabbed the plate, no problem. However, as we were waiting for our ride just outside the doors, a very drunk man came up and began harassing us. Threatened to fight my male friends and propositioned me for you know what. He was very insistent, and the incident lasted a full five or ten minutes.

The bouncer was there the whole time, listening and watching. We made eye contact a few times. I don't believe for a second he didn't see it.

I'd been a regular at Molly's for months, but I haven't been back. If you're hiring people to be bouncers so that they can stop cookies and brownies coming in but not actually helping with safety, you did...

Christmas decorations were nice, but the bar was way too full for just two security guards to be managing a place that was shoulder to shoulder all night. Bartenders were snarky and rude, probably due to the bar being uncomfortably full, but still not called for when you're asking for them to find someone to help deal with someone who was harrassing you and your friends all night because they can't walk through a crowd with their elbows tucked in. In the end, we had to deal with the lady harrassing our group by asking her (nicely) to please leave us alone and to quit shoving all of us. Wasn't our fault the bar was full. She continued to scream and proceeded to push over the oldest member of our group (50's) on purpose, and when security came, they took the woman's side of the story and threatened to kick us out. Seriously. Get security trained right, and tell them to keep a comfortable limit to the bar so they can manage the crowd. People say expect the unexpected! And now I believe In that. It was just a casual visit to the Molly Bloom’s Irish Pub & Restaurant in the evening. It looked so regular type of pub from the outside but the moment when I went inside I was held by the pure Vintage ambience. That is my taste. Vintage style wooden finish all around including the roof and floor with the pure classic country side music 🎶 🆒. It wasn’t crowded much, so as always I surely went for the counter seating. You get more than 4 bartender ladies within that round bar. Perfect serving, smiling and welcoming staff and everything was quick service. I tried their batter fried fish and chips as well. Reason great portion for a single person. I must say that I enjoyed their salad (sides) as I enjoyed their ambience. Thank you so much team Molly’s for making that feel good moment.
