Yesterday, my family and I had the worst experience ever. We had to wait for our food for over an hour and a half. Although the restaurant was not busy at all, the waiter was not friendly, and the owner/manager Dino who heard us talking about it, because we were very hungry at that point, came over and instead of apologizing and being nice about it, he started giving excuses that since they do their food from scratch it takes time. He is very irrogant and rude and I think he will not be in business if he doesn't do anything about it.

Finally we got our food, which was really over priced for what we are getting. $8 for 3 shrimp??? I specifically told the waiter that I want my 2 plates I ordered from the appetizers separately, instead he put them together. So I was eating salad and Garides shrimp in the same plate although they were 2 different dressing???

One of the other plates, the pasta, came swimming with grease, and when we told them they said this is the sauce! Certainly not true. You could see the grease clearly and my daughter did not eat it at all.

we couldn't eat our food clearly because the food was late and at that point we were not hungry any more, so we paid for something we did not eat. By the way the plate is between $22 and $26. We were ready to pay that much for our dinner because of the review we read about this restaurant on the web, but obviously it was not worth it.

I will not go back again and certainly will not recommned it to all...

I ordered their Solomos plate priced at $31.00 which was Seared Atlantic Salmon and Shrimp with dill butter sauce served with roasted beet and Feta Rive and vegetables.

My friend ordered the Mediterranean Bruschetta Skillet priced at $14.00 which consisted of Marinated artichokes, tomatoes, red onions & spices pan fried with Kefalotiri & Feta Cheese, topped with chopped Kalama Olives and served with Oregano and Garlic Toast.

We both accompanied our meals with a delicious St. Ambrose Apricot Wheat Ale 34cl which is probably one of the most flavourful wheat ales I have had in several years and which I expect to return to for more in future weeks.

Our customer service was impeccable and despite it being a withering day of heat we were comfortable in a spacious patio with shade umbrellas.

Although perhaps a bit pricy my dish was the third most expensive on the menu ... the Salmon was perfectly cooked and the vegetables were done to a perfect al dente. The roasted beet was a great paring with the Salmon and shrimp. I highly recommend this dish to all serious food lovers but be willing to spend money for decently cooked, flavoured and plated food.

I would return here and bring...

We stopped in for dinner over the May long weekend, and were very pleased we did! The food and service were both excellent, and Mythic Grill is easily in the top few restaurants we have eaten at.... ever. The food is authentic, prepared and presented unpretentiously and with the care and portions that you would expect from your Greek grandma's house. We were blown away with the sizes of some of the dishes that we saw come out of the kitchen! The staff that were on last night took impeccable care of us, and made what was already an excellent dining experience that much better and memorable.

Menu highlights are many... the calamari is easily some of the best we've had, the pork and beef souvlaki were SO flavourful and tender. House fries with feta (real deal feta!), the Mezes platter with pita and dips... wow, did we eat like Champs! Somehow after all of that, we managed to share a Greek coffee creme brule... again, wow! Phenomenal.

We will absolutely be back!

If you haven't stopped at Mythic Grill yet, put it on your "must do" list! You will not be...

The tables are pretty small to start. Our rating is based on our biggest complaint which is the food. We got the flamed cheese that they do, and it was a huge disappointment. It was pretty flavourless and tasted like I was eating parmesan cheese. We thought there should have been some sort of flavour added to the cheese, maybe exploring with greek seasonings or vinegars (balsamic)? The meat also lacked seasoning, although it was tender, we just were hoping for more flavour. We felt it was actually quite similar to jimmy the greek in the mall, which is a way more reasonably price. We also felt that everything included pita, so it was a lot of pita, but I guess this is a greek restaurant. The pita came soggy, as it was soaking up all the meat juices underneath. The pita is probably the best part of the meal when it has that crisp to it. We received vegetables on the side and most were yummy but the potatoes were rock hard and black. For the price we expected more.

Mrs had the steak and I had the combo souvlaki and it was phenomenal, cooked perfectly, mushroom mash on the side was moist and savoury. Both the spanikopita and the baklava dessert were incredibly flakey and delicious. The former using the best tasting olive oil I've had in a long time... Service was incredible and with a smile. I don't think I've had my water topped up so fast. They're attentive to customers needs beyond the food including parking advice (free behind them through the alleyway) and taking coats to ensure you're comfortable and don't have to hang them on the chair if you don't want to. There's not enough room nor enough vocabulary in my head to truly describe the experience and every soul tempted by the idea should go without hesitation. You will not regret the experience. Well worth the $$$ and we'll be back. (The only photo I got is the dessert since everything else was so good and went so fast)
