Winks Eatery — Restaurant in Ontario

We order here frequently. It is literally my favourite and always .. always.. again, always amazing quality and packaged perfectly and made with care, you can tell! The best thing on this menu (in my opinion) is the chipotle whisky wrap meal - It’s like kids with chicken fingers or nuggets, the go to meal, I could eat it daily. We have tried the snack platter, perogies, spinach and artichoke dip.. breaded cauli bites were great, too. I could list it all but just know we have enjoyed everything from here, every time. Tonight I decided to spice things up with my palette and eat a salad.. the spinach salad, chef’s kiss!!! Cranberries/walnuts/Brie/onion & grilled chicken…oh my, and that poppy seed dressing was too good. I was so full but I shoved every last bite in there. My partner had the buffalo chicken salad & loved it, he normally doesn’t even eat salad. The tortilla chips were so good, I munched a few on their own lol. Stole a bite… or two & it was delicious!

I have heard great things about game nights and other great offerings Wink’s has going on and would love to go partake someday in the near future! For now, my late night cravings are catered by Wink’s and delivered by Uber. I can imagine the staff are great as when I went pre Covid I had great service and ate outside, was a lovely experience. It’s cute there, too! Good vibes! My work used to get catered lunches from time to time from here and this is what introduced me & had me hooked. Loyal for life ❤️ prices are not even a concern either! I do not think anything on the menu is over priced or unfair, every aspect has always been pleasant. Will review some other menu items as I grow outside my food comfort zone and expand my horizons in not getting the same thing every time 🫣 Keep doing a phenomenal job at what you do because it is appreciated & I always suggest Wink’s to everyone I know.

We were utterly disappointed and borderline appalled by our dinner delivery from Winks tonight. I have eaten at this establishment many times in the last 20 or so years and always been 😊for, but tonight was the absolute worst I've ever had. Dish #1 was called the Carnivore Platter. This included a half rack of boiled then microwaved and finished in way too much sauce. Also included was a chunk of frozen steak. We requested this to be cooked to ,medium rare but instead this was blood red and rare at best. And to top off the offering we ordered lemon pepper boneless wings.

As you will see from the below photos the ribs were tough, the steak was so under cooked for medium rare it was practically uncuttable. The "boneless wings" were still pink inside then a handful of seasoning placed on the pile of chicken. The seasoning was a combination of flavors but not lemon and pepper. The powdered mashed potatoes began to solidify once touched by the air a plastic knife had no chance of survival before breaking in half during the initial stir

Dish #2 was simply fish and chips. I'm not sure what kind of fish was used to put into this fish looking shape, but the amount of water that squished out if the fish like patty wasn't like anything I've seen before in my life. I have eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions as it is very local to me. There has never been a visit that was not enjoyed going here but wanted to take the opportunity to give it a quick review. On this particular occasion I was there for opening at 11:00am. Note the time, as the advertising outside and the website both indicate that it is 10:00am so this is important. I debated on getting breakfast, but instead opted to start with a Caesar Salad and then had the Tai Chicken wrap. The server kept my coffee full, but as it appeared she was still opening the restaurant a little inattentive at times. I had eaten half my meal, and was waiting to have it boxed up for almost 10 minutes while she counted the cash for the till. When she did finally come over, I said I wanted to take the rest to go so that I had room to eat desert. Unfortunately, instead of coming back with a desert menu as I had expected she came back with the bill. The do still keep me coming back though, as they have lots of items on the menu I like, and enjoy it even more when the patio is open. I find the interior to be very busy, and at times tacky.
