Osmow's Shawarma — Restaurant in Ontario

Belleville doesn’t really have any really good shawarma places. Decided to try Osmow’s again as my first visit wasn’t very impressive. Service is rather slow. We tried it again last night (September 11th) hoping that our experience would be better. We placed our order and were waiting for our food to be ready for us. Another customer came in about 5 minutes after us and placed her order and proceeded over to where the food was being prepared. The young lad gave her her order and off she went with her food. We were STILL waiting on our food to be prepared, which was a large beef wrap and a salad with lamb. I wanted to request extra garlic and hummus with some pita chips added. What frustrated me the most was we had already been waiting almost 10 minutes for our food when they served the young ladies food before serving us ours. She had ordered a chicken stix? sandwich. So I didn’t understand how someone who ordered after us was served before us. We both had asked for medium hot sauce on our meals, but whoa! It was more like next level of extra hot sauce on our food. Neither one of us enjoyed our food because of how spicy hot it was. I lived in Ottawa for many years and there is an abundance of shawarma shops throughout the city which all serve amazing food! Next time I get a craving for genuine shawarma’s I’ll wait until we go to Ottawa to satisfy our cravings! Service was terribly slow, no communication about what your preferences were to be added to our meals and the hot sauce was unbearable! It ruined our food! When one asks for medium hot sauce that’s what should be used, not a super hot sauce that ruins your food that you can hardly eat it! We had spent just over $38 for food that we didn’t enjoy. Normally I would have requested hot for the spice level but had decided to try medium heat which it certainly wasn’t. Again, we’ll get our next shawarma fix in Ottawa and will not be returning to Osmows. Customer service is important which Osmows lacked. Food was subpar. I missed mentioning before, they did not serve garlic sauce as it should have been. The garlic sauce is not a genuine Lebanese garlic sauce, which I’ve been accustomed to getting previously at some amazing Lebanese shawarma places in Ottawa. The only way I would consider returning to try Osmows again is if they step up the service and tone down the heat in their medium hot sauce. Also having genuine garlic sauce for their food would be awesome! Most people I know go for the garlic sauce and hummus, not super hot spicy sauce. First of all i am not a person who usually give reviews. I am posting this review because of the worst and pathetic experience that i had from here. I just ordered one student special chicken on rocks on april 14th 2023 at 4:13 pm i am mentioning time in order to get the management to know who did these worst things . I ordered one student special chicken on rocks with medium spice. And that lady (aged around 40 ,45asked me for student id . Her face was in a way in which i asked her for free food. when i showed her my student id she needs me to download spc application. I don’t understand why i needs to download spc card to prove i am a student. I was in a little hurry i was not in a mood to have a debate. So i gave her full cash to get my food . I am living in Oshawa I have been to osmos in oshawa many times i never faced such a disgusting situation from there. I visited store today and give two orders.

Employees, three young boys they serve others who came after me and even online orders, but forgot me there 15 minutes until I asked my order.

I kindly asked and expecting some responses but no answer, no responses just looking my face and ignored.

Unprofessional service.

I asked store manager, and one of the young boys says I am supervisor now.

Honestly, I regret to give tip, even no service just cashier pos system asking it. I was almost cancel the order and asking refund, but they apologize for forgetting me. I said not satisfied from their service, but none of them really care because not business owners.
