-Update: Mar 26,2019 I was much more pleased with the serving size. While I did not get a salad, as I had one for lunch. This looks great... pictures posted below. Notice the newest pictures the plates are full and you can’t really see empty space. The other photos were with those brutal side shrimp salad plates. Kids meal is fine for those.
Update: Feb 17,2019 I am posting a picture. I know that plate sizes and appearance and separate dishes are all part of the fiscal game of running a business. I have seen small side dish sizes on large plates. And different ways owners play the game of saving money. I know the cheapest part of the whole business is the food part. The employees wages and advertising and bricks and mortar all cost more at the end of the day than the actual cost of the food served to customers. Maybe I am just weird like that, what does this picture tell you? This is not the plate of 5 stars. Dear owner, I am never looking for free meals of comps or anything. Just want you to fix it. I will be back soon enough to re-evaluate. It’s a great restaurant! Very glad the wait time is WAY better than those brutal time of days gone by!
Update: Aug 25 2017: I went for dinner last night (Aug 25) during the BELLEVILLE "no one cooks in this city" regular Friday crazy busy night. We had a 10min wait for a table which was just a five min wait. (Not problem, normal friday night) I was clearly expecting to be there all night waiting for my food and it was amazingly fast. Actually faster than some times I have went when there was half the people dinning. GREAT WORK. I am bumping my rating up two stars. Rationale: +1 star for HUGE improvement for the speed of the meal. What ever crew or kitchen setup you had last night... KEEP IT! (That is why I dated this review) +1 star for an owners response, who clearly cares for all aspects of his business including replying to, I am sure, an endless amount of internet related feedback. Great job ----- Previous post below (Spring 2017) Plagued for years with a small kitchen. So when there are many customers expect to enjoy your visit longer than you would like. They have tried renovating but this effort maybe helped. Clearly not enough. Food is decent and atmosphere is sports bar on the bar side and casual on the...
Read moreI'm writing a mixed review here. I am a picky eater; I know what I like, and how I like it, so I order the same thing every single time, I like the twist bread appetizer and/or penne alfredo. I order very specifically as to not get mix ups, because for the life of me, I can't figure out why in the last two years they just can't seem to get my order right anymore. Ever. I only eat there sporadically but when I do, my order never comes out right anymore, takeout seems impossible. I honestly don't understand what makes my order so difficult, especially when I witness the server write down my order. Anyway, I wanted both my appetizer and my entree at the same time. My order (finally) comes out, my appetizer has been halved in portion and sitting on top of my pasta in replacement of my garlic bread. Two of three of my minor requests weren't fulfilled and what on earth happened that my order came out looking like that? They "fixed" my order and brought it back out, my lukewarm appetizer salvaged from my original dish, soggy with alfrefo sauce, and both the pasta and one stick of bread had remnants of a red sauce. Not from my meal! I was pretty flustered about the first two attempts. The manager (who was very kind to us, she also had to attend our table earlier in the evening to rush the meal of our diabetic group member who was low-sugar since her meal was taking so long) by this time had offered to have my entire meal remade. Third time's the charm, my order came out perfectly, as I had ordered it in the first place. She waived my bill and gave the rest of the party I was with 15% off. The group was already half way through their entrées when I got my meal, so I had to have the rest packed up because they were all finished and ready to leave. I'm not sure where the confusion happened with my order, whether it was misunderstanding on the server's part or the kitchen staff, but the manager did a good job to fix the situation for us, and we enjoyed the rest of our...
Read moreStopped in on a Friday night and it was very busy. To be expected but we were seated pretty quickly. Waitress was nice and brought our beer quickly and we ordered right away. Unfortunately I strayed from the reason people go to Boston Pizza, pizza and pasta. Ordered the Cali veggie burger on a gluten free bun. Big mistake. It was tasteless, dry, and hard to swallow after 2 bites. I get it, I strayed to far from the meat of their menu but don't offer it if you're not even going to try and make it edible. I nibbled on my cold fries and pushed it aside. The waitress asked about the meal and I told her my dissatisfaction and she was kind enough to give me a coupon for a free appetizer. She was a good server and tried to make it all better. So kudos to her. My husband had a penne chicken pasta that was meh. Runny sauce over noodles covered with too many green onions. Wasn't sure the point of them. Anyways after spending $100.00 food and tip we won't be back. Free coupon or not.
UPDATE TO MY REVIEW the manager at the Belleville location has since reached out to me in regards to my review. I thank him and his establishment for...
