Absolutely love this place! I've ordered from Brockville and Kingston location and both times got outstanding service, amazing value, and delicious food! We've had Chicken Rocks, Lamb shawarma platter, Beef shawarma platter, Beef shawarma wrap, Greek salad, Ceasar salad, and fries. My fav is the Chicken Rocks but everything is delicious! Greek salad was also amazing, a ton of veggies and feta, way better than any other place I've had it. Some mentions: the shawarmas are not typical, delicious but not typical. They add items you may not expect but all went together very nicely, things like green olives and taboulie. For us, any special requests were met and the whole order was bang on! The wraps are also very messy and wouldn't think they would hold up for delivery but I couldn't say for sure. They are grilled so the pita is crunchy which was also a super lovely surprise! And spice, go one level down from what you think is good. I'm a spice lover so I love it but ordering a 2 spice is actually really hot. You can ask for spice sauce on the side so you can add your own after tasting. All 3 of our kids loved their food and it's a far healthier option than most places and servings are large! We are big eaters and the large platters are almost impossible to finish. We always take some home. I go out of my way to find Osmows while travelling because we don't have one where we live. So worth the stop. It's not like anything I've ever had!...
Read moreI went to Osmow’s because I wanted to support Middle Eastern cuisine. I decided to order a shawarma salad. First off it costed me $14 for a small salad. Then they put the smallest amount of precut chicken that was already on the grill and dried up. They initially put a bunch and decided to take some off.. I told them to put all the toppings and medium sauce, with extra garlic sauce. And despite all that, it had absolutely no flavour. I ate it in house and it was a soupy mess at the bottom because of how thin their sauce was. I am an avid shawarma lover and if their garlic sauce is lacking, it ruins the whole experiences. I also asked for pickled turnips on my salad, and they told me it was going to cost me extra! This trip was by far the most disappointing shawarma ever! They had such poor customer relations, completely unfriendly and the food was less than mediocre. I don’t even think it is authentic Middle Eastern because of how stingy and flavour lacking their food was. If it actually is authentic, it’s a complete shame because anyone who truly knows Arabic food, knows how generous of a serving one would get when ordering any middle eastern food. You never leave hungry. Also, How does someone mess up a garlic sauce! Sorry but I will never be back. If you’re looking for authentic Middle Eastern food in Kingston, try Shawarma Damascus in the King’s Crossing outlets. For the $14 I spent, I could have gotten a meal, side...
Read moreHave been going here often since they opened and love their food and the amount you get for your dollar however a few things they could change:
Consistency! Majority of the time my orders have looked and tasted the same every time (with the exception of their forgetting the grilled pineapple! Sorry but if the description says it, I expect it) but on few occasions my items were not separate but just all thrown into one container together which is NOT how it's supposed to be. Since day one, your main is in 1 container, the salad in another, and your side in the last container. Last time I went last week in evening, my order quantities were much smaller and all thrown into 1 container. I even asked "wheres the salad?" since its always separate. And the guy said "it's in there" and that was it! People KNOW when you change something like amounts given even if YOU as a worker don't think the management will find out! The salads are terrible! I've tried them all and they are just lacking taste and why on the caesar is the lettuce SHREDDED??? YUCK!!! I wish you "didn't have to" get the salad and could choose something else along with the rice and the addition of maybe roasted potatoes would be a great idea.
In conclusion, YES, I would recommend Osmows. Will look forward to...
