Pho Blue Basil Restaurant — Restaurant in Ontario

People told me there's a new Pho place opened in downtown Belleville and it's really good, so, me, being an Asian, I have the responsibility to verify if it is actually good. Well, it's THE best pho in town. I ordered house Pho, 19 dollars, very reasonable price, actually cheap for nowadays economy. soup is really good and flavorful, little bit too salty to my tongue but that's just personal preference. And, there's SO much beef in it, beef to noodle ratio is like 1:1, I was actually worried if this restaurant can even make money by putting that much of beef in each serving. Service is very good, tea pot never gone empty. I ordered spring rolls and both the waitress and owner came apologize that the spring rolls will come a little bit late because the oil takes a while to heat up, and I didn't even wait longer than 10 minutes. I think they also let you get more bean sprouts if you want more since the waitress asked me if I would like more bean sprouts, I didn't get any because I was so full by eating that 1 pound of beef in my Pho. Usually most restaurants make really good food and service when it's newly opened and then both quantity and quality went downhills overtime, I hope this restaurant won't be those guys because it is a really good restaurant and good food and service, and I want to come back here for this same quality of Pho regardless how...

Absolutely fantastic food. We had the Pho Ga (chicken), and I believe it was called Pho Nam (well done beef shank), as well as the fried spring rolls. So much flavour. All of their broths are made in house, and the broth for the chicken is actually made separately with chicken. Amazing. And the spring rolls have chicken, pork, AND shimp. Never had that combo before in one roll, and it was delicious. And there are vegetarian options as well. The dining room is beautiful and very clean. The server was very attentive and friendly, and the owner is such a nice guy and very helpful with suggestions and information on the dishes. We will definitely return. Oh! We were greeted and seated very quickly and a pot of green jasmine tea was on our table within minutes. The flavour of the tea was pleasantly different.

My wife and I shared the summer rolls (fresh, delicious with the dip and they were quite large).

My wife had the Shrimp Pad Thai, which of course I tasted, and it was so flavourful and fresh tasting... With a hint of peanut.

I had Pho Dac Biet, despite it being a hot day; it was simply amazing. Delicious broth with meatballs and two types of sliced beef, onions and rice noodles, served with fresh been sprouts. I'd definitely order that again after I try a few of the other selections on the menu!

The service was stellar and the manager made us feel like valued guests in his restaurant. We left feeling like we found a new gem of a restaurant in Belleville! We will be back for...
