Pho Viet — Restaurant in Ontario

GOOD: Friendly staff, reasonable prices (although 10% extra costs if eat in). good portions. BAD: Food is clearly purchased frozen (eg. springrolls). Dishes often not very flavorful and quite bland. Beware in menu that prices are TAKE-OUT and if you actually eat-in it is an additional 10% which they will not tell you. UGLY: Despite having a reasonably sized eat-in area, they do not bring out water for customers eating in, and in fact on requesting water, they said they cannot provide water for eat-in guests as the are "primarily take-out". I personally think that is insulting to any customers coming in that they cannot have water with their meal and would be forced to purchase water, given that by eating in you are already paying an EXTRA 10%? Overall, compared to the many Vietnamese restaurants I have enjoyed, this is by far the worst with respect to food and some...

This is my favourite restaurant in the whole world. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. I have never had a bad meal, and there is not a thing on the menu that isn’t delicious. The cook is incredibly talented and very friendly. The staff are incredible as well. I can’t go without having Pho Viet for too long. I’m so happy to have such an amazing place in Belleville! They’re very accommodating to food preferences and restrictions as well. Dine in is small and cute, or Take Out and have some good old fashioned Vietnamese food! I love it and i’m certain you will too!

PS: They are often very busy with Take Out orders especially on Weekends, so...

I’d heard so much about this place and had been meaning to give it a try. I LOVE Asian food. Gentleman was very nice, my order was ready when he said it would be. I went in, terribly dirty. The floors, the windows- filthy...from what I could see of the kitchen- what the heck!!.. is there a food inspector in Belleville!!!...the ceiling was awful - awful. I took my order home. It was ok..... just ok. Looked very bland and uninteresting. The amount of chicken used for all of the dishes I ordered was sparse at best.
