Worst Dining Experience – Avoid This Place at All Costs!
I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience at this Restaurant was so bad that I feel it’s my duty to warn others. From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is a disaster.
Let’s start with the food – or rather, the lack of quality. The dishes were bland, under-seasoned, and poorly prepared. My entrée was overcooked and barely edible, and the sides were cold and tasteless. It was clear that the kitchen is either inexperienced or doesn’t care about the quality of food they’re serving. For the prices they charge, I expected much better.
But the food was only the beginning of the problem. The customer service was even worse.
What made things even worse was the complete lack of accountability from the management. When we expressed our concerns to the server, we were told the manager would come speak to us – but the manager never showed up. Not only that, but it became apparent the owner had no clue what was happening in their own restaurant. It was clear that neither the staff nor the management had any respect for the customers or the experience they were offering.
To top it off, the atmosphere was uncomfortable – loud, disorganized, and uninviting. It’s clear this restaurant is more interested in cramming people in than providing a quality dining experience.
At the end of the meal, we left feeling frustrated, disappointed, and completely ripped off. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The food is subpar, the service is terrible, and the management is non-existent. Do yourself a favor and avoid this Restaurant at all costs. There are far better options out there where your time and money will be...
Read moreIt was afternoon today, and I was getting hungry. After contemplating about Indian restaurants, I reached my conclusion: Punjaabi Indian Cuisine. It’s a short walk from Fanshawe College, where they get most of their business.
There is something to note. When you walk in, you will be on Royal Paan’s side of the building (a neighbouring restaurant that only serves vegetarian food). To get to Punjaabi Indian Cuisine, walk to the left and through another entrance.
Paneer pakoda was round one. This was cottage cheese with green chutney in the center and a spicy batter. It came with two dipping sauces. One was green (probably mint) and the other was brown and sweeter. For a beverage, I had sweet lassi. It’s yogourt with chopped nuts.
My main dish was rara gosht (which comes with either goat or lamb). I paired it with onion kulcha, bread stuffed with onion. I fell in love with both. The rara was so robust; and the kulcha so addictive.
In need of more hydration, I got an adrakhi ginger-ade. This was actually a savoury and salty drink. It was unlike anything I’ve ever tried. The closest thing I can describe is ginger beer. It’s concocted with tamarind, cumin, lime, and ginger ale.
Last came two desserts. Their names were rasmalai and moong dal halwa. As usual, the rasmalai was spectacular. The other, however, was different. Moong dal is primarily ground lentils in a sweet mixture. The lentils are fried until golden in ghee (butter popular in India and Pakistan).
The bill was $60.
Punjaabi punches above its weight. Although only having 4.0 out of 5 on Google Maps, they operate at a much...
Read moreDuring my visit, I encountered several issues that significantly impacted my dining experience.
Primarily, the service rendered by your staff was exceedingly poor. It was evident that there was a lack of knowledge among the team regarding the availability of menu items. On multiple occasions, while attempting to place my order, I was informed that certain items were unavailable. Furthermore, the confusion between bone and boneless chicken biryani highlighted a substantial gap in the staff's understanding of the menu.
The repeated instances where the staff had to check for availability and confirm the order details not only disrupted the ordering process but also diminished the overall enjoyment of the meal. As a customer, such lapses in service quality are disheartening and significantly detract from the dining experience.
Regrettably, this disappointing encounter marks my second visit to your restaurant, and unfortunately, it will also be my last. While the quality of the food you serve may be commendable, the subpar service I encountered during both visits outweighs any culinary delight.
I strongly believe that no matter how delectable the cuisine, poor service ultimately dissuades customers from returning. It is my sincere hope that you take this feedback seriously and implement measures to enhance the training and efficiency of your staff to ensure a more pleasant dining experience for...
