I have never liked vegetarian or vegan foods, and I am very unfamiliar with most Indian foods. Let me tell you, this place is amazing!!! I got the Bhel Puri. It was only 8 dollars, and the food portions are so generous I could only finish half of it and saved the rest for dinner tonight. The flavor profile is a combination of sweet, savory, and spicy. The spice gives a good kick but is not overpowering. I also got the lemonade, it was a spicy and tart drink. Though I wasn’t a fan of it alone, the combination of drinking it with the Bhel Puri was amazing. The sour combined so well with the sweetness of the dish and it made me feel refreshed after every bite. The ambiance was very nice and cozy, but there seemed to be one area which I wasn’t sure if it was open or closed for seating. Maybe a sign clarifying that would be nice. The people working there clearly had passion for the food and were so kind to me and everyone there. They told me exactly what to expect from the meal, and warned me the lemonade is a tart and acquired taste, so I didn’t feel thrown off from the different flavor profile. The prices are VERY reasonable (even Tim Hortons is more expensive, and if you live in Canada, you understand how crazy that is). I only had 30 minutes to eat and they got me my food in about 5-10 minutes. I just cannot stress how amazing this place is, how delicious the food is, how cost effective and quick the service is, and the obvious care the people there have in their hearts. Never suggest anyone to order online from this store. I placed an order last night and my items were missing and the other items I got was spoiled badly, which affected me with diarrhea and upset stomach. I contacted the restaurant and the experience I had with them was so rude. Please teach your employees what a good customer service experience is, it’s not India that you’ll do anything you want. They told me uber driver might did something wrong with the order, It was my luck that I knew that uber guy since 1 year coz he often used pick food from my workplace as well and he is doing that since so many years. Royal paan couldn’t take the responsibility so there’re putting everything to delivery driver which is so disgusting. I asked them to contact the uber driver if there’s a case like that and they told me they don’t have the access to see his number or call him.Shame on you #ROYALPAAN, anyone knows a restaurant can see everything related with a particular order(delivery driver phone no.) in the Uber app. Please don’t take the order if you cannot well prepare it, just cancel it if you are in rush in closing time. My first time going to this location. I placed my order for a toasted Bombay sandwich and Mysore Masala Dosa. Then I went to the washroom to wash may hands to ger ready to eat. But I was shocked at the state of the washroom. It was absolutely in terrible state and especially given that majority of Indian food is eaten by hands the facility to wash them is in such a bad shape. For example, there is a dryer for the hands and the water that comes off wet hands lands on the wall the dryer is on and over time that wall has been caked with built on dirt and grime with repeated use. The faucets to are in a dirty state and using them seems counter productive. Then I got my sandwich, it was the worst sandwich I have EVER bought at a restaurant. It was bland and soggy and tasteless. But then....the Masala Dosa came out and it was THE Best masala dosa I have EVER eaten. And the sambar it came with was just as amazing. I was ready to not come back to the this restaurant ever again. But now cause of this Masala Dose things have changed. The only thing I can say is, whatever you do, avoid buying the triple decker sandwich and buy the Mysore Masala dosa and do not use the washroom before or after eating it...just use the...
