Uncle Nick’s Souvlaki — Restaurant in Ontario

I don’t know what’s worse the food, the customer service or the cleanliness of the store. If I could rate zero I would… older lady behind the counter was absolutely rude I spent over 60 on 4 upsized meals for my family… as she began cooking she’s didn’t wash her hands after using the till, she used fries that were previously in the fryer and tried to re cook them. She had 2 large buckets of fries just sitting on the counter no water or not in the fridge. The counters where she was preparing the food was dirty. My shoes were sticking to the floor in the lobby like they haven’t been washed in years. It was absolutely dirty and a huge health concern. It wasn’t till I stood there and looked around and you could see the grim and how clearly unclean it’s kept. I asked for a refund before she started anything but the refried French fries and she told me 2 days. I pulled out my phone and started recording and she started screaming at me. Asking me who I thought I was I was. I told her I was contacting the health unit and posting this video to Facebook because people who order online have a right to know what they are buying. She then called the owner and he gave me my money back in cash after I threatened to call the police for refusing to return my money as the establishment is not clean and we didn’t want to get sick…. I have called the health unit as well as posted the video online for everyone to see her behaviour and the cleanses of the store. LOSING MY MIND. This is now the second time the old lady(the mother) has turned off the skip the dishes tablets because she gets overwhelmed and does not know how to multitask. What a shame. Her son works extremely hard, and is completely dedicated but she is ruining the business with her lack of customer service and her bad attitude. Tonight I ordered on skip the dishes, went to check the order 20 minutes after and realized ONCE again, it was still pending and not confirmed. I called, no answer, I called again, she told me the same excuse as last time “the machines not working right now”, then proceeded the tell me she is busy and hung up before I could even say anything. Completely bothered by her lack of respect, I showed up at the store, only to find that she manually had turned the tablet offline. She is going to ruin this business considering she has made it clear on multiple occasions that she gets overwhelmed and cannot multitask. On a completely seperate occasion, it was noon, I stepped in for a salad, and she asked me to come back later because she was busy? Excuse me? Don’t you want the business to be busy? Why are you telling customers to leave and come back? I honestly tried to go there at times she was not working but it seems like my luck, she is always working whenever I am wanting a Greek salad. Highly not recommend. I got the chicken dinner ($12.89) and I regret not spending my money else where! Let’s start with the tzatziki which is extra for ($1.11) but tastes like just watered down regular yoghurt. You opened an entire Greek restaurant and haven’t bothered to taste real tzatziki once? This is nothing close! The chicken was dry and gamey, literally looked like it was grilled from before and re-fried to defrost it or something...it was inedible to say the least. It also came as a chicken sovlaki sandwich, I thought “Chicken Dinner” would get me pieces of chicken on the side, not a souvlaki with dry chicken and stale brown lettuce inside. The salad was a tiny portion and you can tell they use fresher lettuce for the salad because it’s displayed openly, yet the lettuce inside the souvlaki was simply brown, pruney looking and stale. I got an extra side of Feta Cheese for ($0.99) and it was crumbled cheese from the store bought version...not like a chunk of Feta! How is this Greek? Have you ever tried Greek cuisine before going on this venture? It’s heaven sent if you know what you’re doing! Oh and the fries were soggy, brown and over fried...also inedible. How do they mess up...
