I love this new quick and easy take-out option in the neighbourhood!
I always order the personal pizza, which is a great deal when you grab the pick-up special at $4.95 for 2 toppings! All things considered, I literally cannot go to the grocery store, buy food, take it home, and cook it for better than this price!
I’ve had the usual toppings - pepperoni & mushroom - as well as the roasted potatoes and cheddar cheese, which have both been amazing! I absolutely love the sesame seeds on the pizza which, in addition to all the other great qualities of this place, is a major reason I keep coming back!
I’ve also had bbq chicken and bacon with bbq sauce and, while it was very tasty, I found the bacon a little too salty for me - but I do acknowledge that it might just be me. I rarely salt anything so things like pork do tend to be too salty for me at times.
Today I decided to try the Spicy Perogy which was nice for a change but, being a more traditional pizza lover - favouring a tomato sauce base - I probably won’t order this too often but I know someone in my family will enjoy it while I dig into my usual pepperoni & mushroom that I ordered “just in case!” 😉
The pizzas have always been fresh and tasty and I like that I can make a last-minute decision to order and have it ready for pick-up in 15 mins or less.
The service I receive here is always friendly and they clearly appreciate my business even if I’m only ordering a personal pizza - I always feel welcomed here.
As for the atmosphere, it’s clean, which is important in a restaurant; however, I agree with another reviewer that having a couple of tables might add to the environment/ atmosphere.
Although, having said that, I live so close by that I wouldn’t likely even use them but maybe others would appreciate a place to sit & eat.
Recognizing that this is listed as a delivery/takeout restaurant & not a sit down restaurant, maybe being without tables is preferred because people - they can be so messy and that’s just another responsibility they would have to commit the staff to - cleaning up after others, which could bring this rating down if not constantly being watched, which is hard during busy times. I’d rather they have no tables and be clean than with tables that they’re not able to keep up with the cleaning of.
Overall, a great place to get pizza - keep up...
Read moreI stumbled into Red Swann on a Tuesday and what followed was an experience I can only describe as a fever dream crossed with an acid trip. The building itself was made of entirely of bricks, but not regular bricks—these ones hummed softly like the sound of a thousand cat videos being played at once.
Upon entering, I was greeted by a giant swan wearing a monocle, who handed me a menu made of actual clouds. It was a little hard to read, but I felt like that was part of the charm. The waiter, who was a walking disco ball, told me that their specialty was "Quantum Pizza," which, according to him, can exist in multiple dimensions at once, though it was unclear if I was eating it in this reality or a parallel one.
I ordered the "Pepperoni Paradox," and when it arrived, it was a single slice floating above a tiny trampoline. The crust? Perfectly crispy, yet somehow not edible. Instead, it shimmered like it might be a portal to another universe. The cheese? It melted into tiny goldfish, which then proceeded to sing Broadway songs in Italian. The pepperoni, however, was an enigma wrapped in mystery—each slice whispered a new recipe for world peace.
As I ate, I noticed that my reflection in the window was also eating the pizza, but with more enthusiasm. I tried to ask the manager—who, by the way, was wearing a cape made of cinnamon rolls—but he simply replied, "Time is an illusion, my friend," and offered me a free ride on his unicycle.
Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I bring a friend? Only if they’re prepared to discuss philosophy with a talking pineapple. 10/10 would recommend if you want to experience reality unraveling in the most delicious...
