Discriminating and worse service! I never waited so long to get my food in any St-Hubert eve durjng rush hours. We ordered food around 18h30 and got our food at 19h20 because I went to get the manager otherwise I don't how long we would have waited. They didn't even come and check if we needed anythjng else. I had 4 kids with me! Really? You're not going to come and see if we want more coslaw or water?? I had to get the hostess in front to get me some coslaw since couldn't get our server. A couple in our empty section ( so the restaurant wasn't full) left after their beer because they were tired waiting. I am just realizing now that the other couple was mixed the man was asian. I am Caucasian but my kids are mixed Chinese and their other friends are also chinese. Feels like they were quite racist and discriminating towards asians. We saw big families coming in same time and got served before us. The manager said that some other customers had to wait an hour. She didn't even try to help us, offer the kids a free juice or something! For someone who has worked in customer sevice half of her life. I told the kids to learn from this experience and see how much tip you get when you don't take care of their customers....which was close to none. Manager was useless didn't try to make us feel better all she said was the server put our order in the comouter the minute we gave it to her and that other people have waited more than us. That's it she didn't even day she is sorry didn't try or ask how she could make our experience better. Very disappointed it delayed 45 min our trip...
Read moreJust when you think an establishment can’t get any worse in terms of customer service and timeliness, they prove there’s always room to make things worse. We live in Ingleside and we placed our order online before we left the house. Order confirmation said it would be ready at 7:34, only 15min after we placed the order so we left the house asap because it’s a 25min drive. Knowing st Hubert and how bad they are with wait times, we decided to stop and fill up 4 water jugs at crystal rock prior to heading over for the food. We arrived at st Hubert minutes before 8pm. There were two other people sitting waiting for food so I stood by the register to be served. 5min waiting for someone to even acknowledge my presence, instead the staff was too busy trying to figure out which drive thru order they messed up because of the leftover meals sitting on the counter. When they finally served me I was told the food would be up soon. Walked out at 8:12pm, 1 hr after initial order was placed. Somebody needs a stern talking to from upper management because this place is so poorly run it’s insane. Oh and one of the orders was a piri piri half chicken but apparently seasoning the chicken with the sauce has grown too difficult a task. I guess things are so bad with customer service they even deemed it necessary to remind the customers not take it out in the staff judging by the big yellow signage in the glass. Read moreThe food at St-Hubert is consistently good, but the prices feel steep. I understand that rising costs are affecting restaurants everywhere, so while the prices are comparable to other places, I still think some adjustments (either to pricing or portion size) would make the experience feel more worthwhile.
During my last visit for dinner with my family, we ran into issues with our bill. It was higher than expected, and when I flagged it to our server, she made some adjustments. However, I was still charged extra for drinks that should have been included with my meal. I had only two Cokes, and my meal came with unlimited refills. When I questioned this, the waitress said the menu was outdated and the information was incorrect; and that she was following instructions from management. I asked to speak with a manager, but was told they had directed her to charge extra regardless.
On top of that, I had to ask multiple times for a drink refill, despite the restaurant not being busy at the time. The staff didn’t seem overwhelmed, which made the slow and inconsistent service more frustrating.
Overall, while the food was enjoyable but the experience left a bad impression. Better communication, updated menus, and more attentive service would go a long way.
As this is an updated version of my review, I sincerely hope that the menus have since been corrected to reflect accurate pricing...
