I was really stoked to try the pizza here. I'm new to London and heard good things. I walked in around 5, so I completely understand that they'd be busy. There was a lady picking up a pie infront of me just finishing up a conversation with a man, it sounded like she was not just a regular but a long time regular. I felt more stoked because that must mean it's really good pizza. I passed by the other night, saw a guy hand tossing it, saw it's thin crust, place looked like the real deal. Pizza places nowadays are all the same fast food garbage but this place looked on point. Anyway. The lady walked out, guy looked at me, turned around and walked to the back and started tossing dough. Again, I understand that it's busy time but atleast greet me, or say "someone will be with you shortly". Nope. The lady on the phone infront of me was taking an order, okay, but atleast acknowledge my presence. I just wanted a slice anyway, I wasn't going to order a whole pie. I wasn't getting good customer service vibes so I left. I feel disappointed because the food looked great! But I don't want to give my business to anyone who's not even going to acknowledge me as a customer or show me that they even want my business. Will I have another go at it? I'm not too sure to be honest. If their pies are at the same level as their customer service, I'm surprised they have any...
Read moreTruly Addictive Slices! I’m absolutely addicted to Rico’s Pizzeria — it’s honestly a daily necessity just to get through my workday! Their slices are consistently perfect: the ideal cheese-to-sauce-to-crust ratio every single time. The crust is golden with just the right balance of softness and crisp — not too crunchy, not too chewy, just easy and satisfying to eat.
The sauce? Slightly sweet and super flavorful — it pairs perfectly with their generous, gooey layer of cheese. The toppings are always fresh and cooked right into the slice instead of just sitting on top. I get the Cheese slices everyday and wow… the flavor combo and melty texture hit just right. Coming from Toronto this is GOOD!
You can tell they care about the quality, and you taste it in every bite. Whether you’re a pizza lover or just need a quick but comforting lunch, Rico’s is the spot. Not to mention how kind and accommodating the owners are! Amazing food with Amazing customer service! Highly recommend grabbing a slice (or...
Read moreOrdered a pizza and waited for it. Got home with the pizza and dips. Spicy cheddar dips were expired. It's almost July 2024 and they expired April 11/24. That set the precedence for me to not really enjoy my meal as it immediately made me wonder what other items were used that were past their prime in order to save a few cents.
I had high expectations of finding a good pizza place based on all the recommendations. Payed $30 for just the large pizza that I picked up myself. Pizza was a little too oily for how thin it was. Sauce was the perfect amount and acidity. Pepperoni was tasty. Onions were sparse. The hot peppers surprisingly packed a punch for heat - I love that.
Overall, as my first impression: a more appropriate price would have been closer to $24. A place that cuts corners to save money is not something I personally want to spend my money at.
Suggestions: do an inventory count and remove expired/damaged product instead of trying to recoup...
