Smoke & Spice Southern Barbeque — Restaurant in Ontario

I will never be going back to this restaurant again. Even though this is my third time here this month, tonight I brought home 95% of my meal and because of the way they packed it my one third piece of cornbread was ruined and ruined my double side of potato salad which one quarter of it was eaten when I called the Restaurant to complain and let them know not to do this to another customer I dealt with the most rudest ignorant guy I've ever had to deal with ever launching a complaint.. After he continually cut me off talk down to me and made it seem like I was trying to rip them off for potato salad I came and corrected his ass that I've not once did I ask for anything in return AND WE'LL, his reply; well what do you want from me then an apology?? is that what you want then ! wow wow wow because of his lack of compassion snotty attitude quick to judge and no room to learn is the reason I'm launching this complaint /review I like posting positive reviews as I have for Smoke & Spice And because I know first-hand how hard sometimes consistency can be for restaurants I don't sweat thee small stuff. well but being how rudely I was treated I will now share my whole experience it started off waiting for our meals longer then usual being on it was Fried Chicken it was okay understandable well Sons soda had floaty things are spring rolls three out of four exploded causing the cheese to escape and be all burned up which leads us to my main meal where the chicken skin was soggy and greasy being that I am a cook I know this is due to oil temperature not correct during cooking time. But none of that did I care about until my potato salad with ruin and I was treated like garbage so I will save my $55 visits and I will spend it at one of the many many restaurants that not only care about their food and their bottom line but also...

Did a family visit yesterday and was surprised. They still got their stuff in order and it was a very pleasant experience. I had the smoked meatloaf, my wife had the pork player, my son the El Rey and my daughter the crispy chicken. The smoked meatloaf was very good. There wasn't much smoke taste to it but the meatloaf itself was moist and flavorful. The grilled onions and BBQ sauce was a great addition to it. I had the fries and beans as sides. Both were also very good. Food was served hot, just the way I like it. My wife's pulled pork was a healthy portion. She said she missed seasoning on it. Not much bark present in the portion, so I'm guessing not much seasoning either. She had a garden salad and potato salad. Both were just adequate. The potato salad needed some help as she said it was just boring. There was lots of dill flavor but no "zest" to it. She said it would have been nice for them to use miracle whip instead of Mayo, maybe some mustard, etc in the dressing. Also the tomato vinegarette dressing for the salad was not very "tomatoey". Vinegary, yes. My some lived his El Rey and my daughter also thought her crispy chicken was a real winner. Been some time since we had been here and was expecting the menu to be stale. Surprisingly, everything was quite good. One disappointment, I didn't smell anything that resembled smoke anywhere near the building. Outside, no smoke smell, inside, no smoke smell. Strange considering "Smoke" is in the name. I do a lot of smoking food at home during the spring, summer and fall. The smell is unmistakeable. Can't imagine why that same smell is nowhere to be found at this joint. I sure hope they haven't made a deal with the devil and started to use...

I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I just experience with this restaurant. My husband and I eat here all the time and have never had an issue and love the food until tonight. We placed an order for pick up. Only to find out once we got home that the full order of Mac and cheese was typed in as a side instead. So when hubby called back he was immediately transferred to the manager. he explained that when he ordered he specifically ordered it first saying "I'd like a full order of the mac and cheese" . The manager then proceeded to argue with my husband that the fault was all on us.. Even though clearly there was a little bit of fault on both ends. Then got loud with my husband on the phone(I was sitting across the room and could hear him yelling over the phone).of course hubby got upset and some words were exchange. Then recalling and reordering what we originally ordered this manager then proceeded to say oh you just called I'll give that to you half price and when are you going to be here we'll have it to you nice and hot. why wasn't this offered before you started an argument?? We would have had no problem paying a discounted price. we arnt just trying to get a free meal here. I'm a mom of two who just had a baby a month ago and I just wanted some dinner since all I received was a side for a meal.
